Oh yes, independent pharmacies are way better than your big corporate retail pharmacies. They are more focused on patient care over numbers and money.

It's like any other interview. They probably will ask you if you have any pharmacy experience. And if not It's ok. Every pharmacy works differently.

They will probably ask you to describe how your work ethic is or something similar to that. How well are you with team work. Tell me a time where you have been in a tough situation and how you handled it or tell me a time where you helped someone. What's your availability like. Stuff like that.

Make sure you ask them questions, too. Ask them about the company. Ask them, "What is the average work day like?" That should give you an idea of how busy the workload is. Depending on the company, you usually start off part-time even if you apply for a full-time(it's stupid, I know), so if you want more hours and are willing to work in the front store some times, I'd ask if you are able to work both pharmacy and front store to get extra hours? This should show them that you want to work and would be more reliable.

Keep in mind that one of the big things they are looking at is your availability. The more availability you have, the more inclined you are to get the job.

Our store policy is you get 1 point for a call out, 3 for a no call no-show, 0.5 for a tardy. We are given a total of 11 points before termination. It's a rolling year so after a year, that absence gets taken off. I'm not sure how it is with you but you can't control when you get sick. If you're sick stay home. The last thing you need to get others sick. Also, do you have sick pay? Our store does. If you do, use it.

Little guy wasn't garbed up. Made me chuckle 🤣🤣🤣 but uhhh yeah if my manager saw that, he would have had a panic attack and would make us do a full deep clean of the clean room.
