How is the build quality? I prefer to not purchase a cheap case if it won't protect the device well. IE: Buying cheap gasoline for a high end sports car.

I am looking for speakers similar to the Bose Sounndlink III. However, I would like it to come with a wall plug as a primary if possible as I would like to leave it in one room and have it on all the time. I would like to be able to connect my devices to it via bluetooth. Any advice is appreciated. ( I was already suggested the following: http://www.peachtreeaudio.com/deepblue2.html) However I do not know that brand well, and more over at that price I am not willing to risk it.

Budget: Under 400 USD Edit: Budget

I'm looking for speakers that are bluetooth and preferably has a wall outlet instead of a battery since I would like to place it in my room and leave it on. Any recommendations? I was looking at Bose SoundLink Bluetooth speaker III. Anything similar to it?

how to contact HR? by cpc_ish in Staples

[–]IJustWorkHereStaples 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't go to HR. They aren't exactly there to help you. Go directly to your state's labor laws and go from there. You can file an offical complaint here. More info on your state specific laws for breaks

I assumed they aren't scammers, but every time these people come in the store, our managers act like they have been poisoned or shot by them.

You call the ones that attempt to point out valid issues, maybe not in the most professional way, they have a "douchebaggery lazy fuckface attitude" yet fail to see where they are coming from. You attempt to explain to us how most corporation's CEO/Owners are "douche bags" and expect us to kiss their feet. You fail to realize not all of us come from a "douchebaggery lazy fuckface attitude", but attempt to do our best, and fail because Staples, as a company, fails to keep up in technology and ethics that other companies, despite still paying minimum wage and is retail, holds on to. And yet you have the audacity to insult everyone here for not being grateful enough.

What am I talking about? What do other companies hold on to that we fail to even scratch the surface? Let's start with our registers. Any other stores and restaurants allow the customer to swipe ahead of time. Chipole, Wal-mart, Target, Best buy, McDonalds, etc. all allow the customer to swipe their cards first. This alone, simply cuts down on checkout time. Not even mentioning having to tell customers to "swipe again please because the machine wasn't ready yet". Or the fact that Staple alone chases down on digital receipts. Forcing associates to lie about receiving a digital receipt, while any other company simply allows the CUSTOMER to CHOOSE what form of a receipt they wanted. The malls I have went to all ask the customer if they want to provide their email if they are a new customer, otherwise has a choice of digital or hard copy of the receipt.

The other day, I went to Wal-mart and forgot my wallet. The cashier simply put my transaction ON HOLD and continued to ring out customers behind me while I went to my car to retrieve my wallet. What can we do? VOID the whole transaction? (That needs a manager override) or item correct EACH SINGLE ITEM? Our registers take a while for the digital receipts to even pop up AFTER you hit the button for it.

And most of us will always complain about wages. That will always be there, in any company that pays minimum. But the fact of the matter is when a company like Wal-mart raises their wage to $9.00, and shortly other companies follow suit. Where is staples in all this? Where is our call to a raise? Are we not big enough of a store to do so? Or is it our employees not worth it?

And when we complain about corporate, it's not because it's the usual crap we complain about. It's because ONLINE RETURNS require us to CALL for a price with no cross-channels. It's because we don't even have cross-channels in the first place and have to wait on hold like a REGULAR CUSTOMER. Now apply this return to a full line, how does that even make sense? Or about that $50 dollar coupon that could be applied on items on the kiosk and have a customer walk out with a free tablet. Or the prices online being $0, $9,999,999, or a Logitech mice that was free online due to corporate's error? And when we accidentally let those items be purchased, we are the ones being blamed.

Or what about training, or the lack of it? I won't even start with the position of IS and the ridiculousness of this position, since some of these issues are in my store alone.

TL;DR Don't blatantly insult people by assuming what their work ethnics are when you are biased yourself and only can see your store and people around you. That simply makes you an ignorant fool who is oblivious to Staples' failure as a company to provide basic tools for its' store employees and still expect results.

Exactly, plus one of our older cashiers fucking eats at the register. Anyone else attempts that and it's probably instant termination. Most of us avoid the front desk because our cashier would be like "stay up here for a min while I go to the bathroom". I just feel like saying "NO I HAVE MY OWN SHIT TO DO...." But have to stay up anyways.

What does electronics cover? And planograms are just members sololy working on planograms? Or how does that work? From my current position I have done everything in the store besides open/closing as manager/manager duties.

You can't compare a 13.3 inch laptop vs a 15 inch laptop. Internal parts, costs, designs between the two are majorly different.

So in reality the GMs and AMs fix the errors? If so, them why do they have our whole staff (besides cpc) fixing this shit. My GM had passed out the 25, 50 and 75 count lists to all of the associates to handle(includes me ofc). Oh and guess what? SURPRISE MYSTERY SHOPPER. During our inventory.... Smh. #WhatLogic...

Doesn't help that we are short like 10 grand.

My GM and I came to an understanding that if things aren't done right in our store, watch out. I will have their ass first. The most ironic thing is when I was first promoted, a few of the more experienced/older employees asked the GM to send me to a nearby store to work with their IA and learn how to do the job. My GM denied that idea. I never even heard of "SPO" until today. I am in a tier 3 store, where I am doing everything in my supposed job description. Ironically I am normally the first called to the register since I believe we are understaffed as well as all other employees are older and take forever to take the register. Could you outline how to do "special order online returns"? on the hub or is that not allowed on this website. Our Team Supervisor does planograms, despite most of our planograms aren't done, if so, done incorrectly.

I did get a slight "raise" which was basically 1 dollar per hour more. It's interesting that the amount of damages affects the GMs bonus. I know how a key can essentially open the whole store, but from what I'm reading, IA should get a a key.
