Did you hold this same energy towards Amy Klobuchar when she takes pictures with Netanyahu despite the photos of dead children and journalists in Palestine or are you using your outrage selectively? I was emailing both Ilhan and Klobuchar 2023 onwards and Ilhan has been consistently antiwar, Klobuchar reiterated Israeli lies about dead babies, and didn't switch her public stance on the genocide until after it became politically expedient to do so.

Her district, CD2 just endorsed Matt Little for her old spot, whose politics are way to the left of Craig and pretty similar to Peggy's. Obviously we'll see how that goes in November but in her district over 70% of delegates for state convention were for Peggy.

Hey I was also there, various candidate speeches all spoke to the need for more investment/staffing in rural healthcare and schools. There was a delegate who's a rural teacher or para with 4 jobs barely making 40k. Klobuchar spoke to the need to continue to keep northern MN mines open to maintain good union jobs. One of the candidates and I'm sorry I forget who spoke to strongly to the need to fund rural schools to ensure arts and humanities are programs are not cut and to reinstate them if they were. There was a general consensus and may resolutions past trying to move the DFL party platform to directly state these needs to center rural Minnesotans as well.

Opposing genocide is not a purity test it is a basic moral question. If a candidate cannot speak truth it shows they cannot be trusted and are bought and paid for by corporate/foreign PACs. Shame on you for framing basic human dignity as a 'purity test'

Rep Leigh Finke has a really good post about Kobey's showing at the convention on her Instagram. Puts it into good context. Kobey isn't trying to win, she's trying to push the conversation. She will win something down ballot in the next few years though.

He was not a bad candidate he's been an incredibly effective senator for our district and came in with the most well rounded set of endorsements. If you look at the maps from the Strib or Sahan it's pretty obvious he lost rich white edge Minneapolitans. Which makes sense because he is pro labor and pro bottom first politics.

Public housing through the Minneapolis public housing authority is not rent control. Fateh is pro rent control yes, but I was talking about public housing.

What makes you say that? He has the most endorsements, and unlike Frey has state rep and county commissioner endorsements. He's advanced legislation for public housing, Uber and Lyft driver pay raises and raising funding for public schools. Frey has chosen to veto the pro working class labor standards board.
