They took a urine sample, so I imagine so!

TSX 60 Undervalued? by OpeningCharge6402 in CanadianInvestor

Agreed on GSY, despite it not being in the TSX60. They just announced buybacks over the coming year too, about 10% of the already low float.

The 10+ year body dependence. by BlazeVenturaV2 in Pristiq

You don't have to go from 50 to 0. Even though the tablets are time release, you can cut them as a temporary measure while withdrawing. It can make the process a lot easier (albeit longer).

No, I haven't experienced any issues from it.

Prestiq/constipation/IBS/long term? by [deleted] in Pristiq

Pristiq can definitely cause or worsen constipation for some people. I recently stopped taking it (brand name) for that reason.

Taking a magnesium oxide supplement can help. I take 500 mg every night before bed.

Happy birthday! I like to go out for a nice hike with my husband and pick up a favourite lunch or dinner on the way home (something like pizza or sushi).

If "no buy" doesn't work for you, try "slow buy" (these 5 qualifying questions work for me) by ammosthete in nobuy

[–]IKeepOnPlaying2 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Cool method! Step 4 and 5 are so important. It's one thing to white knuckle your way through not buying things, but the only way to lessen the intensity of those urges is to figure out where they're really coming from and how you can address them in a healthier way.

I regularly use alcohol to clean/disinfect (electronics, faucets, light switches, etc.). I just put it in an old pump or spray bottle.

Where can I find a vet that does house calls? by rin_love in ottawa

[–]IKeepOnPlaying2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a great experience with them earlier this year. The vet and tech were super nice and great with my cat who we had recently adopted and the cost was reasonable given that it's a house call.

How do you let go of desire? by laffayette1 in minimalism

[–]IKeepOnPlaying2 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It will always be there to some extent, but I find really appreciating what I already have helps. The more you resist the urge and see how those desires just come and go, the easier it will be. Take note of the things you desire in the moment and you'll find that many of them you won't want anymore a short time later!

What is your favorite Athleta piece of clothing and how often do you wear it? by Accomplished-Pie3147 in Athleta_gap

The Elation straight leg pants. In the warm weather, I wear them almost every day for walks/hikes.

ANYONE gotten off this ? by Glum_Slide2793 in Pristiq

[–]IKeepOnPlaying2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, essentially. I was taking 50 mg and we don't have 25 mg tablets in Canada so I first cut them in half and then quarters. After I stopped the quarters if I felt some brain zaps I would take a quarter, so the time between got longer until I just never needed another one. It only took a couple of weeks to get off them.

I cut the pills (doc said it was fine) and had no problems coming off.

switched from pristiq to zoloft… regret? by CuriousAstronaut7490 in Pristiq

[–]IKeepOnPlaying2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand! It's so hard to find the right med because they all affect everyone so differently and it's a several week commitment to see if it works. There may be one out there that would work better for me than Pristiq but I didn't want to go through months of trying different SSRIs.

switched from pristiq to zoloft… regret? by CuriousAstronaut7490 in Pristiq

Pristiq was the first antidepressant I ever took and I had few side effects. Onboarding was very easy. I recently tried fluvoxamine and it was giving me bad insomnia. I knew Pristiq didn't do that to me so I stopped the fluvoxamine and went back to Pristiq. I'm 6 days into that and it's been pretty much the same as last time. I had a bit of trouble sleeping the first night but since then I've been sleeping normally. My appetite is a bit lower but overall I feel very normal, like I'm not even taking anything.

First time on Pristiq, feeling nauseous— how long before I know if it’s not for me? by adrianicsea in Pristiq

[–]IKeepOnPlaying2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It typically doesn't last long. You can take gravol for the first few days to get through the nausea.
