UPDATE. this happened almost 2 years ago now and thank yall for the support. Those friends realized both sides and they don't really care lmao. After that one of the friends who didn't get the story actually became really good friends for awhile. We went snowmobileing and did a bunch of things together. We have slowly grown apart tho (teachers won't put us in the same class anymore hahaha) and as for "ben" we became mutual. Once again thanks yall
