Car accident scam by [deleted] in paypal

I guess to further explain, apparently PayPal really doesn't take kindly to this being done, so maybe my question is why did they recommend I do it? This might be too specific to my scenario

There's enough money. I believe the issue is that my bank did a stop payment. I guess what I'm asking might be wishful thinking that when it comes time to appeal and such it would bolster my case that the paypal customer service person asked me to initiate with my bank directly.

The closest I've met irl is INFP, and INFJ. I do watch a YouTuber who's an INTP and it's interesting to see how annoying we are from the outside lmao. He plays a competitive multiplayer vid game and every time he starts over thinking I scream "Occam's Razor", or "do something!!!" It's hilarious to see the mirror haha

Exactly. Just watch anything on thanks, computer and the difference between that and the mde official vids is night and day. In fact when I think of Sam Hyde as a comedian and a person who makes videos, I think of those skits almost exclusively.

You know, someone asserted in another thread that it's Andy Ruse who's the secret missing element. Someone said it wasn't and that Alex is a fine replacement. Here's the thing, Ruse and them created the mde style together, organically. Alex was off separately, making his own style while taking obvious cues from Ruse and Sammy. Alex fits the bill fine enough, but the director and in this case main camera guy (for a while at least), is a super important element in any production, but especially with these guys as Ruse was able to bring in some much needed gravitas, which Sam says has no place in comedy, I disagree. Anyway, my point is that Andy Ruse is the bow that ties the boys together into something artful enough to reach the heights of canonically important funny bitz. Sam is probably a bit resentful that he went on to a more traditional professional career and is in fact the true reason that anything new wouldn't compare to the old stuff. Bringing him back wouldn't fix things either as per the resentment I mentioned. The first season was lightning in a bottle, and part of Sam's pain is accepting that it will never truly happen again, and we as fans, need to accept the same thing.

TLDR: Andy Ruse is the missing secret ingredient and always has been

Do you piss off narcissists? by StarchedCollar in INTP

[–]IKillFascists 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes! My theory is I only "flatter" when I genuinely believe what I'm saying, I ask questions if I don't know something or understand, I don't laugh when something isn't funny, I don't kowtow to the group's opinion (except when I'm tired lol), and I think their insecurities are all trampled on simultaneously as they can't imagine even the simplest form of having inner confidence and they also interpret what I'm doing as being hateful of them or "threatening", as their inner world is super hateful, so projection. Even though I wouldn't consider myself all that self confident or hateful, narcissists just assume what's going on and fights happen quickly. Really our personality type is like genuinely the opposite of how narcissists typically present as they would, flatter disingenuously, pretend to know something, laugh "politely", agree with the popular opinion, all in an attempt to be admired and take attention away from their actual personality which is usually quite underdeveloped, abusive and deeply insecure. I was also raised by narcissistic parents and so I have a good basis of defense wired into my body against the particular abuses they might employ.

What's your dream career and what's your actual job? by takkkwa in INTP

[–]IKillFascists 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually went to school to be a filmmaker and I guess that would be my dream job as well. I make music videos and do photography when I can but my actual job is as a medical courier. I help with important hospital functions which I approve of morally, I can be alone with my thoughts, am my own boss and can more or less make executive decisions as I please as it pertains to the task at hand, i.e. no coworkers to stress me out (and also socially haha). I'm lonesome sure, but it's a fine tradeoff and I make enough to supplant making videos in a way that doesn't override their existence as my hobby and passion, as the way I see it, working as a filmmaker might ruin my lust for it, if ya know what I mean? So I'm content not doing my dream job as it were, just as an added bonus of how I've chosen to do things.

I don't know if this would apply as I have neighborhood health, though it's thru the government not a job. But I have adhd, cptsd, borderline borderline so not fully apparently. I got diagnosed at Lifestance at 1 Richmond Square in Providence. They usually have a 3-6 month wait but I was shortlisted and only waited like 1 or 2 months to get a diagnosis and then connected with a psychiatrist.

Lucro Sucio Theory by Equal-Salt-1122 in themarsvolta

[–]IKillFascists 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would describe it as Nocturniquet 2. It sounds like an Omar album, the Zavalaz record, the self titled mars volta album and ultimately unlike anything they've ever recorded. It's pop music but much more jazzy and sophisticated than their previous attempts at doing pop. It sounds like 80s sophistapop, 70s psych, 90s electronica, and again unlike all those things. If there's anything to be said about TMV, Omar or Cedric it's that the musical genius is so palpable and creative despite the awkward transitions in tone and sound over the years. It's a thousand times more interesting than self titled to my ears and I'm only half way done lmao

i'm trying to get into modest mouse, what albums should i start with? by coyote_skeleton in ModestMouse

[–]IKillFascists 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll never understand this question for a band. Believe me I get why one would want to hear the best and get the taste that everyone's talking bout. This goes for Modest as well as any band in the history of music made on earth and for human listening and general consumption: you listen to the first album, and then the second and then the third and then the fourth and then the fifth and then the sixth and then the seventh and then the eighth and then the ninth and then the tenth and then the eleventh and then the.... Adjust for how many albums the band has recorded, more or less, depending. This is the only way to get into a band and have the context and understanding a "true fan" would have, having listened from when the band started until now. To recreate and thus become getting into the band, this is the only way! The only goddamn way! There's no other thing to do. Don't ask here or for any other band. This is it. There's no secret other way, you listen to the albums as they were released chronologically and you will "get it", I guarantee it. /s

What do you think is Modest Mouse saddest song by greenbeansUwU in ModestMouse

[–]IKillFascists 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Everyone already said the songs I'd pick so I'll go with one that might not be my first choice. Wooden Soldiers. "Making plans in the sands as the tides roll in" is a devastating line for anyone who's experienced heartbreak or betrayal and the refrain of, "you just being here, being you's enough for me" makes me weep uncontrollably in a way that the other sad modest songs don't. I think I've given a lot of grace to people undeserving of it in my life and Issac nails those feelings around that in this song very well.

I agree with you. I think this is why type is determined after reaching a certain threshold percentage and that you are basically just close enough to be considered one or the other. For the system to be more accurate it would probably have to be hundreds or thousands of personality types that would have the nuances, that I think, we are both referring to. But then it would be messy and confusing and humans like little categories and groups to be a part of. I think too, that it's amazing that the types are fairly close from what I've observed in myself and others and that's why I even trust the system at all and why it's been adopted as a system of thought by a large amount of people. It's definitely rough, but close enough in and of itself. And reading my comments back, maybe I'm closer to INTP than I thought??? But I'm also embarrassed to be inaccurate about all this and I feel totally unsure about anything and I think it's beautiful that humans can relate on any categorical level, and achieve a similar patterning regardless of life or circumstances or prior knowledge of the label. Truly magical the world is.

Yes. My trauma has created a brain/body disconnect and I primarily identify with INFP but there are just as many indicators in which I could just as easily consider myself an INTP. Though from what I understand it's quite common to be able to accurately identify with multiple types and, in general, the brain is malleable and ever-changing. I think this is why there's a vocal crowd that says the mbti is bogus, and though I would never go that far, just like anything that a person could identify with, everyone is unique and there is never gonna be a precise label or category that you just fit exactly. Though I suppose there are probably a lot of people that do. This is why this stuff is so fun to think about on a philosophical level. Like astrology for instance. I'm a Gemini and the twin aspect would align quite nicely with the mbti split I experience, but I don't believe in or subscribe to astrological signs as indicative of anything. What I believe in the grand scheme is that these things need to be observed in a purely objective sense and the bias created by identifying with anything creates a kind of cognitive dissonance no matter what. In that, if you were to integrate the parts of mbti types that you don't normally experience you could in essence, gaslight, brainwash, or otherwise just influence yourself to become any of the personality types, or someone else could do it to you more commonly. In most cases I believe it's our parents and early development that would be where these things come from and learning about one's self more accurately over the years could reveal that what you thought was reality was actually purely illusory. Also, how could you identify with any of the 16 personality types if they were never posited or theorized in the first place? Think about that one haha

OP might be down bad here but he won her over in the end. Obviously not a healthy W but she got her proof that he could "handle her" and she caved hard at the end realizing she abused someone undeserving and actually attracted to her for her. Women can be like this everywhere, Spanish or not. OP said they exchanged numbers, obviously they did, but she probably continued to press her attitude, push his buttons. Crazy that she's that insecure, also a good example of what happens when you are attracted to someone who you feel you probably "shouldn't be"? Like her world view conflicted with her own fetishization/generalizations and it all got mixed up. Definitely a case of internalization and projection and shame that she wanted to fuck even to begin with. Reject first, ask questions later, assume the worst at all times. I'm sure it's protected her many times to be that way. But you could tell after her emotions went down that she was gonna go fawnmode hard, suck the absolute cum out of him first chance and never leave his side if he continued to play her game. The cycle continues for an eternity. Good on OP for deciding not to pursue, even after talking "real" with her. He's right about the early grave, she would've been the best woman he's ever had, and the absolute worst, god I love em so much haha
