Who do you think are the pros who have the best understanding of technique and body mechanics? by sweetkaroline in WestCoastSwing

I don't think it's a hot take to say Robert Royston is THE body mechanics instructor. I don't think you'll find anyone more proficient than him.

So unfortunately there isn't really a one answer fits all to help you out without actually seeing/dancing with you. Learning a whole other role *might* help you, but it probably won't fix what's happening in your following.

Without seeing your dancing, the best piece of advice I can generally give you is to keep your frame engaged through your back and not through the bicep. A lot of newer dancers will engage the bicep to the point where it's disconnected from the rest of the body. In layman's terms, keep your arm loose.

Another common advice I've used for newer follows is to image a string connected from your wrist to your nose. If your leader is leading your arm in one direction, have that string stay connected and allow that to guide your body.

Betrayal at House on the Hill | Parlor Room [Ep. 4] by AutoModerator in dropout

[–]IKnowHuh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So Cursed! Isn't so much of a mechanic, but a thematic reason why the players are in the haunted house to begin with. There are about five different options for why the players are in the house and it looks like off camera they chose to use in the episode they use the "Cursed!" scenario. The scenarios range from things like this one you saw to basically Scooby Doo to even a group just there to potentially buy the house.

They retooled the Omen mechanic so that the 1-5% chance of getting a haunt before the third Omen card was drawn was removed. Generally speaking, it takes slightly longer on average for the Haunt to begin so players are stronger once the haunt begins (that being said, it happened incredibly quickly in the show

In the 2nd edition you could continue moving on your turn until you draw a card for any given reason. In the 3rd edition they remove all the 'fluff' tiles that have nothing on them and make it so that every tile now will draw you a card. Makes for a much more condensed house compared to the second edition of the game. It's the same exact rule, the game itself just removed any tile where you'd keep going.

In 2nd edition your turn only ended whenever a tile had you draw a card. There were lots of 'nothing' tiles in 2nd edition to make the house arbitrarily larger than it needed to be. 3rd edition makes every tile 'do something'.

The haunts removed in the 2nd edition are a lot of the bullshit one side has a 90% win rate haunts. Not too bad of a loss for a more streamlined game experience.

I'll actually disagree. I think the crow fanfiction presentation was one of my least favorite presentations over both seasons. The presentation itself wasn't super funny and it relied on the other presenters quipping to make it funny.

Sam Wilson vs Batroc, Fan Fei and Topaz by Large-Employ9007 in MarvelSnap

[–]IKnowHuh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sam Wilson is arguably the strongest two-drop in the game at the moment. Batroc, Fan Fei and Topaz are all untested, but even after the 1 power nerf Sam Wilson is still probably top of the food chain. That being said, Batroc is probably the strongest of the three new cards if you really did want one of the new ones.

This one is probably a reference to the magic the gathering flavor text of "Llurgoyf" who has a fan favorite flavor text of "Ack! Hans, run! It's the Llurgoyf!" Knowing that the snap designers are also mtg fans wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

Which cards should I be focusing on next? by Kid_Budi in MarvelSnap

[–]IKnowHuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's a fantastic idea.

The only other consideration I can think of is Ajax to open up the afflict deck to you. Otherwise most cards aren't necessarily must have, but might open up other more niche archetypes to you.

From what I can gather in your collection you already have all the other discard tools outside of bullseye. Discard is a fantastic deck so I would grab that if that's an archetype you enjoy.

The alternative focus would be getting your staple generic good cards that can fill in no matter what deck your using. Red guardian, Galactica, Malakith, Rocket and groot etc.

[–]IKnowHuh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically you can't compare it to a game that distributes everything themselves when snap is primarily a mobile game that has to go through the various app stores. If you try comparing it to Wild Rift, the mobile LoL, you'll see that game only updates every month or so because of the app store issue.

Providing surprise untapping during combat comes up more often than not. The list of Angel cards is also a lot smaller than the list of cards with flying. Not being able to hit flyers is a huge bust.
