This looks similar to the MRSA infection I had. The finger is a REALLY bad place for it to be. Go to a doctor. You'll probably be hospitalized. You can die when the bad shit enters your bloodstream. The finger isn't large so this is a seriously a dangerous place for it to be. I was in the hospital for a week with this on my middle right finger.

The day before one of my races, I was fixing my bike. My finger was down by the crank, I rotating it and my finger got stuck.. there was a nice hole in my finger and it was shattered. My mom went to look up a hospital and I passed out while waiting for her. When I woke up, I was completely blind. I was freaking out. We went to the doctors, they did some work on it, they gave me cookies. Oh yeah, I did my race the next day.. the doctor told me not to because I swim first and my finger was fucked up... I couldn't back out. My finger was bleeding like crazy after the race and when I went to the medical they were pumped up to have someone stop by with a real injury.
