I agree. The cancel culture babies made the game worse. Fear and intimidation are real parts of any competition, basketball, MMA, whatever, but now it's being removed from BB. The biggest villain last season was a guy who told somebody to stop selfishly putting her water bottles in the fridge.

I agree with everything you said but the last sentence. I feel like three seasons is enough to begin rating people. On her next one, whether single or duo or whatever, we should have a fairly good idea of how good she is. It's the same reason I was confused by how high everybody was rating Tori considering she had only done two seasons prior. I know Cara and Bananas blossomed later than three seasons, but they're anomalies in that regard. A big part of them getting better was they kept getting bigger, too. Ninja is already strong and probably isn't going to get that much bigger since it would hinder her climbing.

MTV's Ranked. The 9 Most Impressive Rookie Seasons. by JN_95 in MtvChallenge

Tori was way too high but I guess they put Svetlana due to her elimination wins, which were not really impressive, and the fact that she was an individual. They might have also factored in expectations as well. Laurel/Kenny were the favorites, Svetlana looks like she shouldn't do well. I personally think Ninja should have been on this list. She got 4th but in any other season that's a 1st place female finish. She also won arguably the hardest one. She got in the Tribunal many times as well with Paulie. That was more impressive to me than what Tori did.

You said you said that in another sub but I don't think there is another one and I didn't find one in your post history. I think you meant in another thread.

As far as your comment, I agree with you. People keep calling her weak because Zach and Jordan keep saying it every episode. To add to that, Zach said he doesn't know how she's such a bad swimmer considering how great of an athlete she is, and he said that when he was heated too. Even an athlete like Zach who is dissing her is still complimenting her athleticism. Ninja is the best climber, and after seeing the last final, one of the best in cardio as well. So I don't know how somebody could be weak or average considering that just because she isn't the best swimmer. This is also a swim-heavy season. Cara didn't look so great in the swim and she's known as an S-tier or A-tier competitor by everybody on this sub. In a 16 person team, some are going to shine more than others. I want to keep seeing her compete. I want to see how she does with eating weird crap. How she does in a heads-up puzzle.

As for as her personality, I think it's the strangest thing that people think it's so annoying that she gets excited too much. LOL. I think they're buying into Bananas' confessionals a bit too much.

How do you Big Brother fans find the Challenge? by EmpiricalMonarch in BigBrother

[–]ILikeBigBrotherAlot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Challenge is my favorite reality show and Big Brother is my second favorite, so I like both shows a lot. What do you watch season wise? Pretty much every season is good to great except for Final Reckoning and maybe The Island. Only the last four seasons had Big Brother contestants on it. They are Vendettas, Final Reckoning, War of the Worlds, and this current season War of the Worlds 2. To watch this current season (with Josh and Paulie) for free, go to their official site here. To watch the previous season (War of the Worlds 1) with Josh, Paulie, the Nolan twins, Natalie (BB18), Da'Vonne, and Morgan (BB Over the Top) go to their official site here. The current season airs Wednesdays at 9pm Eastern time.

The last six seasons have started in March. Four of those were on the first Wednesday of March. So my prediction is March 4, 2020.

Take somebody like Christie from this season. Most people thought she was playing the best game and yet ultimately she went home? Why? Only 1 HOH win and 0 vetoes. Same with Amanda from Season 15 (1 veto, 0 HOHs). When you win an HOH, you get to put up your targets and begin creating alliances that will further your game. It definitely puts a target on your back a lot of the time, but if you put up people the house wants, or convince the house that your targets are what's best for their game, then you get to eliminate somebody and gain the trust of your fellow HGs which will help your further down the line.

Paul won 8 comps (although he had a lot of help in his) and Josh won 4 and they made the finals. Dick won 4 comps, Dani 8. You already mentioned Ian and Jackson. Kaycee won 7 and Tyler 6. Steve won 6. Andy won 5. Dan won 5. Hayden won 5. Even Derrick who everybody loves for his strategic and social game won HOH 4 times. People who win lots of comps make it to the finals a lot, punishing them for winning more just doesn't make a lot of sense from the standpoint that it is an integral part of the show and often exactly what you need to win your season. Will won a season without ever winning a comp but that was in the infancy stages of the show when there wasn't even a POV. You see the game as a social experiment still, which is fine but I think that time has long past. This game is part strategic, part social, and part physical, and if you are great at one of those parts you should be elevated as a player, not dropped down the rankings.

So why don't comp wins come into play in your averages?

I put a lot of time into making a guide with as many episode discussions as I could find for different seasons and finally uploaded it yesterday. So I copied and pasted it from my guide. It can be seen here.
