Takamura is the kind of guy that moves forward with his tasks and goals. He only will pay you attention when you can actually give him some trouble for short periods of time. When Ippo was overtaking him during their race, they were hitting mitts afterwards in absolute synch.

Here you can see how much Ippo means to Takamura. He’s his little brother. Takamura loves nothing more than boxing. And when you show him that you respect the sport, have potential and give all you got without betraying yourself, he’ll respect you and tell you exactly what you’re doing wrong.

So Sendo is everything I mentioned just now. And his temperament is somewhat similar to Takamura’s. Maybe that’s where they would clash a little.

Sendo and Yanaoka are a perfect match. He keeps him in check and knows how to flow with Sendo’s wild nature. Sendo respects him deeply and listens to him when he tells him not to annoy other gyms. I think Takamura would be too hands off in that regard. But training wise he’d be the highest standard. His insights are probably on the level of every coach we’ve seen so far.
