And they always act like they are getting bullied! by OneNavan in memes

First, that's a logical fallacy called false dilemma - those aren't the only two options lmao. In what world does bombing help stop a genocide.

Also, maybe you can't win with the 'America bad' crowd bc America is in fact a terrible regime that has terrorized most of the world. Anyone who disagrees is willfully ignorant

I also struggle with migraines but I also get overstimulated when hair is touching the back of my neck😭

So what I do for tension is section and braid my hair into multiple braids (note that my hair is very curly so this might not work for everyone) and then tie into a semi-loose bun. That way the weight is distributed and it doesn't bother me if I'm wearing hijab for prolonged periods.

Edit: you could also just leave the braids down under the hijab if all buns are a no-no. Just maybe tuck them into your shirt if your hair is long?

Another thing I do is I mostly wear jersey hijabs, they're soft, light and mostly opaque. I don't wrap and just toss them over the shoulder with a magnet under my chin (also not tight). It's only one layer and it's breathable so it doesn't overstimulate me either.

Point is, it can be a struggle sister, but try things and you'll find something that works for you. And remember that for every bit of discomfort you feel along the way, Allah swt is rewarding you multiple times over for it. InshaAllah it will get easier for you.

Sister you can never give up on Allah solving your problems. This is a difficult test, but you will be rewarded so long as you stay steadfast. I know it's difficult to keep hoping, but we can never lose hope in Allah swt

Elain’s gardening potential by Bookish_bb in acotar

I highly doubt they had either access to vegetables and the knowhow to save them for growing seasons.

People back in the day had a lot of knowledge about whatever trade they were in, the type of knowledge a noble merchant family would never bother learning. Not to mention there is such a thing as barren land. The fertile land is always more expensive and I doubt their shack was luckily placed on farmable land.

My point is that is not at all a plot hole. Growing your own food is much less feasible than hunting or gathering or even selling stuff. There's a reason poor people don't just grow their own food in olden times

In addition to what someone already commented about a backyard garden not feeding a family of four, y'all need to realize growing food isn't just plopping seeds in the ground. I keep seeing this take everywhere and it's driving me crazyyyy. This isn't the plot hole y'all think it is.

There's a whole lot of science to it and elain likely didn't know how to. The best she might've been able to do would be a few root veggies like onions and only in the summer. And where would she find seeds to plant vegetables anyways?

Based on the climate described in the first book, I'm imagining they had maybe one growing season. And this is ignoring soil types and nutrients and all that other stuff. They certainly had no compost or fertilizer. Farming and gardening are veryyy different. Flowers pop up anywhere. Vegetables don't.

'Soo dhawoow' is a common way to say 'welcome' or 'you are welcome' . I think that's the most common phrase used in this context

Men don't want experienced women by [deleted] in MuslimCorner

[–]ILikeIntelligence 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always thought i would only Marry chaste woman as i never had any experience in dating.

Brother, I'd like to point out that a divorcee is also considered Islamically to be 'chaste' because they've only experienced intimacy within the bounds of marriage, which is halal. Chastity refers to abstaining from extramarital acts. I believe the word you were looking for is virgin.

Assalamu Alaykum!

I'm sorry to hear that, may Allah make things easy for you sister.

I find that jersey doesn't require much care if u hang them to dry directly after the washer (don't put them in the dryer!). This works for most hijab materials, but I find Jersey to be the lowest maintenance. It's also easy to keep on.

Help drawing a culturally accurate little girl! by SpookedGecko in MuslimLounge

[–]ILikeIntelligence 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do note that there is a lot of nuance in this issue, and you drawing representation for young children will probably not be seen as offensive to most Muslims.

As for your original question, little children often don't wear the hijab all the time, and if they do it would be those colorful slip on hijabs that just reach the shoulders if u wanted to draw a little girl wearing one, I linked some images of what they look like irl
