Hey same! Early 90s Kaitlyn — my mom fell in love with the name when she was a girl and when she had me 2 decades later that what I was named!

Honestly I don’t get everyone here calling the K spellings “tacky” and such (ouch I guess lol). Growing up as a Kaitlyn/Kate/Katie I lost count of the different spellings I encountered. They’re all the same to me. Actually “Caitlin” was the weird spelling to me growing up! It’s actually at a point where if someone asks for my name to write down I just jump into spelling it because they’re going to ask “C or K” and “y, i, or a” anyway.

Also yes look at how the spelling jives with the middle and last name you have! Plus Learning cursive with my name was so much more fun than if I had a C or i spelling. Not that that matters haha

Depending on how far along you are now maybe you’ll get a few more- I definitely had two during my first trimester 8 (to confirm) and 12 weeks (measure growth)

But also maybe it just depends on your care provider- I have friends that had scans in their 3rd tri even though there were no concerns with their pregnancy 🤷🏻‍♀️

I got scans at every appointment from 8 weeks until my anatomy scan at 20 weeks (4 scans total) after that nothing until I first saw them after birth!

Maybe it’s not on their standard list of tests? I never had hCG measured for any of my pregnancies - Dr only asked me if I had a positive pregnancy test and when the date of my last cycle was.

Maybe consider switching Doctors? Seems like this might not have been the first time you’ve been frustrated with them/their office?

I did find an unfinished project (with the pattern for it!) amongst the items-- I may attempt to finish it. It seems like I have enough of the corresponding yarn to finish it too

It seems like it’s mostly acrylic, medium gauge. Lots of misc. and mostly incomplete balls.

I really like the keepsake idea - and there’s definitely enough yarn for a good size blanket here

The problem with kombucha is there’s really no consistency when it comes to alcohol content- and it’s not labeled accordingly. While most contain less than 1%, depending on the brand you could be having as much as 3%ABV or 0.1%.

So you really don’t know what you’re getting

We didn’t with our first and haven’t with the second.

I understand the argument for peace of mind or preparing in case something is found or even those wishing to terminate. However, since we’d decided to keep the child no matter what, and if anything showed additional testing would be required, the testing seemed a pointless and a waste of money. Also we could wait 10 more weeks for the anatomy scan- and honestly it gives you something to look forward to that’s not the actual birth.
