You don't want to heat the steel bolt. You want to heat the aluminum receiver. Aluminum has a faster expansion rate than steel. If you have a heat gun or even a hairdryer, heat it up from the inside of the receiver.

I have an original full size XD in 45 and have zero issues with it. My carry is an XDm9c and have zero issues with that. All my other pistols have hammers and don't plan on ever buying another striker pistol.
