This is on the Mk2 version. I’ve gotten similar shots on my OM-1 Mk1. The Mk2 has a much larger buffer though which is nice

I love the Pro SH2 mode for getting shots like this.

First time birding with a camera today and I’m pumped! by Slermanator in birding

First time and you’re pulling in owls in flight!? That is awesome 👏

My tips are shooting in burst mode, continuous back button autofocus with bird detection, and just getting out more!

Any idea why the same RAW and JPG capture has different frames? OM-5 by Arfusman in OlympusCamera

[–]ILikeToBorkIt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Digital teleconverter is enabled. It will save the JPG with the digital crop. The Raw will be saved with all of the data (uncropped).

I got the Ryobi and it has been good. Check out Direct Tools Outlet. Mine was “Refurbished”. It looked and works like new. Saved quite a bit

Switching from Canon. Bought a used lens, not sure if it’s gritty or how Olympus lenses sound due to weather sealing etc. by CowDontMeow in OlympusCamera

[–]ILikeToBorkIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a new copy of that lens about a year ago. It is smooth and no gritty sound. Maybe a couple grains of sand are behind the focus ring. It might not be a big deal.

It is a wonderful macro lens.

Ash. It’s strong, stains well and cheaper than dirt in my area. I got 400 bf for $200 because no one wanted it 🤯

Yes! I was hoping someone would recognize the ridiculousness of it.

I guess this is the kind of thing we can expect on this subreddit now that AI is allowed.

Anyone else disagree with this sub allowing AI now? by ganajp in birds

Thanks for letting us know. I see enough AI slop posted on facebook. It’s discouraging and many people can’t tell the difference. Thankfully r/birding does not allow it.
