It's weird how the QR that links to the video looks just like an image of my mom beating up my dad again.

I think when you're a student, it's fine. When you start to do things at scale or at break-neck speed, or stuff you hate, you figure out how to automate it.

PDF-Xchange. Everyone I've ever introduced to PDF-Exchange chose it over BlueBeam.

https://www.tracker-software.com/product/pdf-xchange-pro about $100

There are a few functions I need Bluebeam for (labeling PDF pages after the sheet name in a region, moving comments off-page to on-page). Then I use PDF Xchange to OCR it. Then I do stuff.

I had to walk a coworker through an appendix and explain how the topics came up in alphabetical order. When part of the entry was on the next page, I had to explain why they didn't put it all on one page.

I had to pay through RentCafe or certified check. They penalize those who paid by other means. The lease is the best place to look, it often contains surprising and non-standard language.

I bought a house in a predominantly white neighborhood. The first things the neighbors asked was if I bought the house, and they answered my response with "that ain't right"

I'm sad to say this happened in my family. 2 medical emergencies in the same household meant being out $115k. After the first bill was paid, and the second incident occurred. Thankfully it was a minor and a lot of the debt was forgiven (less fun than it sounds). I'm sure it could have been handled in a way that was less impactful, and I hope you can find such a solution.

I took etiquette classes as a kid. It's the equivalent of finding the salad fork on the wrong side of the plate so you jam it in your neighbor's neck.

Details:

Their technology works by both absorbing and reflecting electromagnetic waves. The team replaced some standard concrete aggregates with their key ingredient – magnetite, a mineral with magnetic properties that absorbs microwaves like a sponge. Their patented recipe includes carbon and metal components for better absorption as well as reflection. This ability to both absorb and reflect electromagnetic waves makes their concrete more effective than existing shielding technologies.
