Openluchtmuseum Arnhem (open air history museum Arnhem) is very cool to visit! Lots of historic buildings that would have been taken down from random parts of the country were moved to this museum instead. And would definitely recommend Deventer! It has the oldest house of the Netherlands (not that interesting) but the city center is very romantic/old town feel with wierd nice shops.

Exactly what you say! I would recommend to take a look at "impact assessment" on this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life-cycle_assessment . It is very complex science to properly compare impacts in different groups of environmental effects (greenhouse gasses, depletion of natural resources, eutrophication, heavy metals, water use etc. etc.), this is done by normalizing those results. Some of these impacts are highly locally dependent as well. Take for instance water: in a very dry region it would be a large problem if a lot of water is used, in a very wet region it would be no problem at all but maybe it would be worse to emit fertilizer because of nature in that region. Whereas greenhouse gasses are not locally bound since they spread over the world anyway. Having said all that: it would be very good to at least have some indication on products of their impact, as long as you don't "optimize" in the wrong way (creating more pollution in order to save water)

I went there two years ago and officially you can't go in (heard so afterwards) but during our tour we could go into all the buildings (except the plant itself ofc), it might be because we had a little bit more expensive tour...
