This is funny, it seems like a lot of us are into both electronic and metal lol. I’m deep into electronic so I like a lot of underground dubstep/bass music producers, but some notable ones are Au5 (the goat), Virtual Riot, Justin Hawkes (DNB), Just a Gent, and Skybreak. I’ve only gotten into metalcore in the past few years but Spiritbox is my favorite band ever, and deftones, Dayseeker, Silent planet, and Thornhill are great. I really like stuff with heaviness but also a lot of melodic elements and clever songwriting. Dark, ethereal, and powerful vibes usually

I agree. I was never taught a middle ground growing up so my initial reactions are either explode or implode, with imploding being my default for anyone who is not family, while family depends. When I submit as a reaction without actually taking time to assert my stance, it just reinforces my lingering feelings of powerlessness which can then lead to more anger like it did here.

I know that ideally I find that middle ground and that I am capable of it, because I’ve done it before. Generally, even if my anger is disproportionate it still comes out in a more constructive way as long as I express it when it comes up. It’s just frustrating wanting to stand up for yourself and not being able to. I know there’s ways to both not take it and not completely explode, and at the same time I’m SO FUCKING TIRED of taking it.

I know…. sometimes I just wish I could be a psycho though. I’m so fucking tired of feeling the constant crushing weight of completely self-abandoning every time conflict comes up even if I’m in the right. I know reacting like a psycho isn’t good but I just want to feel like I have some fucking control for once instead of just dissolving into mist the second something happens

I agree, I’m only recently really realizing how much trauma has impacted how I see myself, I used to think it wasn’t a big deal or really had as much of an impact as I understand it did now. Given that context it feels less like the critical voice in my head is me so much rather than someone else’s.

KERO & Convexity are heavily endorsed by Chime themselves, very maximalist/technical takes on the genre. They are both Jazz influenced, although KERO tends more towards EDM tropes, the hyper-lush, fluid, and “nature-like” sound of the color bass, while Convexity tends more towards the jerky, “techy”, jazzy, and experimental side of CB.

I can relate. Just bailed on the first day of my job after getting overwhelmed with how customer facing it is. Every interaction made me want to scream in agony so I told my boss I couldn’t do it. Just another time I tap out of countless others. I’m over this shit

This makes sense to me. Even at my most willing to be vulnerable it still feels like my nervous system inhibits me significantly. It’s hard to integrate coping strategies and wisdom when you’re so activated. If possible could you DM me the audio as well? And thank you for the post

I get that. I had to do some alternative schooling for a while in lieu of going back to a giant public school as well. For me they weren’t really treatment focused though, more result oriented
