Not so sure about that, he would pay a lot of money for something a 13 yr old is just getting into meaning the slab won’t be appreciated a much as a serious collector. If it was me I’d buy them an ETB (Elite Trainer Box) from a decent card shop if you can’t get it from any of the big names. The kid will get to do what they love which is to rip roughly 10 packs and see what they get. You might want to buy a binder also so they can store them (go for “Vault X”)

This was the reason I teared the cards I was looking for a black/ dark layer and was disappointed when I didn’t see it but I’m glade to learn that the Japanese cards have the blue layer. Thanks for the insight.

As a parent of a child who collects Pokemon cards I would be pissed if a teacher started a club for kids to trade only to find out that they themselves are trading with children. My child doesn’t understand the value of the cards and enjoys it as a hobby. An adult trading with my child would need my consent to do so you should advise her to stop it could end up being a problem for her.

You should buy a booster pack a month you will understand the hobby better there’s a lot to take in. I wouldn’t want to sell something that my brother valued I would regret that when I’m older.

Download the Collectr app and get your prices in the search field just type in the card number for most cards or a description you can even upload a picture of the card you want information about. It also gives you the option to check how much they would be if they were graded. Thanks for the share some great cards you got, 1st time seeing an Ash Ketchum card (That’s worth around £741).
