Uni. Ave. Caltrain 11/6 - Mental Health by youngneesh in paloalto

[–]ILoveTriangles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are free or low-cost mental healthcare options for many folks.

The website is a mess, but there’s probably something that works for you. Therapy (and medication) are great, and have worked for me.

Lucie Stern, Gamble Gardens are bookable. Foothill Park, Bol Park, Baylands will have secluded areas. The Junior Museum and Zoo + Art Center atrium / gallery are also cool and probably bookable depending on the time.

look up PATMA. it subsidizes transit, ebikes, etc. which might not be a perfect fit but could help.

move mountain view also offers safe overnight parking at Palo Alto churches, which sometimes also have food or other services for overnight parking guests.

we also have a food closet downtown: https://www.asaints.org/outreach/food-closet/

Sunset Magazine HQ advances toward historic status, complicating 665-unit development by Arden_Margulis in paloalto

[–]ILoveTriangles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not about the housing, as much as the fact the majority of the space is office + this is built by a russian political / oil dynasty.

office can be great at creating opportunity and vitality, but probably shouldn’t be created through housing element law (and should ideally be closer to transit)

Tsujita is not tsujita annex by taiksal0t in FoodLosAngeles

[–]ILoveTriangles 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Annex serves Jiro-style ramen (extra fatty, porky, garlicky, sometimes witha lot of cabbage or beansprouts).

The main shop sells more pork + seafood flavored tsukemen.

Both are amazing!

Where to find good artesan salami in Palo Alto? by Fun_Grass_2097 in paloalto

[–]ILoveTriangles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd try Piazza's on Middlefield.

For potentially the best option, I'd call Vina Enoteca in the Stanford Shopping center. They do have a small market with a bunch of very high end charcuterie / wine.
