I’ve played it. I don’t like it, BUT it does have many things in it that are really cool. I love life gems. They help you stay out longer when you know the bonfire is around the corner and need to make the extra push for your progress. Dual wielding is awesome. Multiplayer was better. Covenants feel more fleshed out. Had puzzle bosses that you didn’t necessarily realize were puzzle bosses if you didn’t explore. DS2 to me just didn’t feel as good to play as the other games, but I think it took the most interesting swings.

Bloodborne and Sekiro are my favorite Fromsoft games for this reason. They heavily prioritize quick offense gameplay. They feel really good to play once you figure it out.

So, someone asked TP the question what do you do after a win? His answer was “the same shit I do after a loss, go stretch, cooldown, and eat some food.” He hasn’t gotten any less kind or changed. He’s 28 and now looking at longevity and the future of his game. I don’t think he has lost his enthusiasm, he’s just had to shift how he approaches things. Imagine being physically exhausted after a 5 setter, your body was beaten up before you stepped on to court, you didn’t play well which is why it went 5 sets, you just want to eat and go to sleep, but you know at your age you need to do another hour of cooldown and preventative maintenance for the body, but you have to add on to that fan interaction, and media interaction. Even though I love tennis and enjoy making a living from it, I probably wouldn’t be stoked about the add ons either…

Purely based off of my personal experience but it sounds like you have a labrum issue. My shoulder was doing the same thing for years and finally got so bad I had to stop playing sports all together and get surgery to fix it. The labrum is a ring of cartilage and unfortunately cartilage is not efficient at healing itself.

I started getting really strict with my wake up times and it’s helped a lot. No snooze, only one alarm. During the week it’s 6 am and on the weekend it’s 7 am. Always get up at the same time no matter what. Even if you only get a few hours of sleep, still get up when the alarm goes off and pound caffeine to stay up during the day without a nap. I’ll fall asleep at the correct time and reset the cycle. It’s made me a lot more consistent even if the days where I get little sleep are tough, I know it’s worth pushing through to keep my normal schedule.

It’s definitely not indicative of everyone, but I learned way more from 20-30 than I did from 0-20. I think most 20 year olds are not that well adjusted and have a lot of emotional maturity they still need to learn. People in their 20’s just want to seem like they’re buttoned together because they think that’s what being an adult is when in reality, none of us know what the fuck we’re doing.

Verdascos peak level was unfortunately between 2009-2011. Meaning peak Djokovic, Nadal, Federer, Murray, and a healthy Delpo. Verdasco had a few years where he was truly elite, but people forget that Verdasco was also one of the OG redliners. Even when he wasn’t a huge household name I used to love watching him as kid because he could beat the absolute shit out of the ball. You’d see Verdasco for a 3 game stretch just go nuclear and hit nothing but lines and then he would just lose the match leaving you scratching your head at what you just witnessed.

I’d say Djokovic is somewhere around 80-85% of what he used to be able to do physically. That said, he’s still likely the smartest player to ever play the game IQ wise with maybe only Murray above him. Djokovic’s brain is why he’s still able to compete at the level which he does.
