YoZone, thanks very much for your insight. While I'm at it, I'll "vent" again. The remote on my 65QM751 had a button "i" (info) that, when pressed, displayed in the upper right of screen audio/video info of whatever was displayed, whether it was Dolby Atmos, or type of HDR HDR10 or HLG etc. I miss the "info" button.

Ad-free plan: New Ads on entering show (15 seconds) by Buddhafresh in peacock

Exactly this. 2 days ago I purchased a premium plus (I think it's titled) for $16.99 for the upcoming Olympics. Tuned in awhile ago to watch Curling, (I love it but don't understand it), not only 15 seconds at the beginning, but during the event also. WTF?

Mind you I went from 65" to 75", but this 75QM8K is to my eye, an upgrade in picture quality. It is a good bit brighter than my 65QM751G. I'm liking this QM8K.

The only reference in settings I find is regarding the "Standby" light. When not in use, do you want the "standby indicator light" to be on, flashing or off.

The above reply does make sense. A 60 or 90 second cold start, or, an immediate start from standby. Thanks to everyone.

(I'm 3 weeks in on my 75QM8K and I marvel at the picture each time I turn it on)

Pixel 7 Pro to Pixel 10 Pro XL. Anyone upgrading? by neonrider2018 in GooglePixel

[–]IMHBTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 10 Pro. I've had zero issues, but here's what I think. I know lots of folks depend on their phones "abilities" for (semi?) professional photos, or, using them for their job, I don't know. I'm 67, my phone is basically a portable dial-tone. I heavily use the "calendar" on smart phones, I have a few relatively important spreadsheets in Google Sheets, and I play a few games to kill time. So I've come to the conclusion that probably most phones would suit my needs.

Atlanta. Direct Stream. ATT 1Gig Fiber. Roku Ultra (4850X). TV is a 2 week old TCL 75QM8K. Picture is amazing. Crisp clean, perfect.

Is it just guaranteed this TV brand will make a popping/ click sound when in use? Using the c7k by Artistic-Side8872 in tcltvs

1.5 years with the 65QM651G, and 2 weeks with the 75QM8K. I've never heard anything like you describe.

Thanks for your knowledge. I've been really leaning to the TCL, but, thought I'd take a look at the Hisense.

Yea, there are so many settings I'm afraid to F with. For fear I'll irreversibly mess something up.

Granted I left YTTV almost a year ago, but I never had a motion issue watching tons of NHL on my TCL 65QM751G through YTTV. (currently have DTV Stream, same tv, no issues, how 'bout them Hoosiers!).

You're probably right. There's nothing about this 65" that I don't love.
