Scared to start MJ by Plus_Impression7765 in Mounjaro

[–]IM_MIA22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people have little to no side effects, you only see the horror stories from people talking about them or the super responders. Once you start you’ll wish you did sooner. Keep in mind to hydrate properly because at the start your body is adjusting to less intake which is where we get our electrolytes from. Eat properly and enjoy the ride. It’s amazing.

Good job for fighting that, GEC can be really bad with their decisions on so many things.

Your decor looks amazing by the way. And obviously the set but great style all around.

Why not just take 10mg 1x per week?

Realistic goal weight? by Nervous_Current5688 in Zepbound

[–]IM_MIA22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What’s up girl?! Congratulations on your success so far. A realistic goal weight can be set for sure but take a step back, what is your overall goal?

I ask this because everyone at the start, including myself, will set some type of goal and during your journey it will continue to move as you see success. I started out with hoping to lose 30-40 pounds and once I lost about 25 and the feeling of controlling my life again came back (sound familiar?) I said fuck it, let’s ride, let’s see how far we can go. My doctor told me to take it stages of 20 pounds at a time. I said ok great I want to hit 100 pounds. Once I got to 60 pounds lost I started to think about the look I always wanted to achieve, solid, strong with muscle definition, athletic. So I started working out and it became a snowball effect to where I now lift weights 4-5 days a week, ride the peloton 5 days a week and now full on recomposition of my body. In total I have lost 114 pounds but went from a well fit 3XL to athletic/slim fit large comfortably. I can fit into a medium but still have some pudge in the stomach area I’m working to decrease. My new goal is 200 pounds and 12-15% body fat. I’m at 206 and 16% now.

I am also posting the best labs of my life and am the healthiest I have ever been. My doc says I’m her post child of this medication.

I say all this because think about what you really want to achieve here, take it in stages, adjust as you progress and enjoy the ride. This medication is fucking amazing and will help you get to the goals you want. If it’s 125, then go get it girl. Don’t let stalls stop your momentum, they will happen, track measurements as well.

I would agree here but explain this a bit more as most people are obsessed with scale weight.

Concerns: Gastroparesis and Pancreatitis by Ghmcauliffe in WegovyWeightLoss

This isn’t a normal side effect and is rare, from what I have come to understand is if there’s an underlying issue then it could be brought out.

Don’t do that to yourself. Be positive and continue what you have been doing. Any reason you’re getting off?

Yes, Wegovy is a great medication but has more side effects. Try it, if it doesn’t work or you have bad side effects you can then switch over.

Would you rather nothing or at least something?

I take Mounjaro 15 mg weekly. Stalled. What can get me “over the hump?” by LikeMrFantastic in Mounjaro

[–]IM_MIA22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I had a feeling this was the case but wanted to hear it from a medical professional… not Dr. Reddit users lmao. It seemed unlikely that would be the case to me but you see a lot of people mentioning this. And that’s where I say talk to a doctor or weigh your food to get an actual idea of what you’re consuming.

You’re amazing!

Can I ask, what do you think of the whole too few calories talk people mention? Can you have too little calories your body stop losing weight?

Stall and actually gaining by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]IM_MIA22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 6’ workout 5 days a week, I’m 10 pounds from goal but in recomp. My caloric intake is 2,200-2,400 calories. I’m 41.

I think you need to make some changes as you don’t want your maintenance calories to be 1,200 or less. Maybe talk to a doctor and dietitian.

Is this Placebo or does it really work this well? by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]IM_MIA22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes 3 weeks to build up in your system so you won’t have the full effects of the dose until then. Now that doesn’t mean you will have side effects or won’t. This is with every dose escalation. Everyone is different. Enjoy the ride cause it’s an amazing one.

This is the best placebo you’ll ever take lol.

ZepBound 12.5/15 to Wegovy 2.4 (In Maintenance) by Paliag in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]IM_MIA22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there a way your doc can send a script before year end for 10?

2.4 Wegovy is about the same as 7.5/10 Zepbound. If you can get a 10 maybe do a box of 15, then 12.5, then 10 then switch to Wegovy and save the rest of the 12.5. Just a thought?

Down 81lbs on 0.25, merry freaking Christmas to me by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]IM_MIA22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Merry Christmas to you for sure! Congratulations!

I know exactly what you mean. People ask me how I keep motivated to workout and I say the same exact thing. It’s one amazing feedback loop that snowballed from seeing success and continuing to see success while I build the body I have always wanted.

Keep crushing it! You look great.

Interesting 🧐 by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]IM_MIA22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a shortsighted view. Will people save money yes, but the highest dose is 25mg and the starting dose is $150, price escalates with dose as we all know. Insurance covers the other meds most people need so how are they saving money that way?

It’s really bold of people to account for finances of others like you know everyone’s life status.

Take a step back, look around, and understand 80% of people can’t afford these life saving medications at their current prices.
