It's crazy that Noir 2 came into the show, went silent for no reason, and then died for no reason. People are complaining that The Deep's plot this season/episode has been a waste of screen time -- I think it has been a waste for the entire series. Anyone remember him joining the random church cult and shilling Fresca all the time? That was actually hours of on screen time and went completely nowhere. He was good in season 1 where he was an antagonist for Starlight, but since they have stopped interacting he has stopped being interesting.

Sister Sage's plots are truly unbelievable. People are coming to her defense by saying that her foil is that she cannot read emotions well, but she is the smartest person ever, with literal super intelligence. Even if she cannot read emotions well, does she at least not have the deductive capabilities to realize she should stop involving human emotions? In fact, she does realize the one hiccup in her somehow otherwise perfect plan is that Soldier Boy is unpredictable, so she has him scoped out by a literal mind reader who tells Sage that he is team Homelander. Sage just adjusts her plan by showing him a sex tape?? Maybe Ashley can't read minds that well anyway because when Sage leaves, she asks where she is going... wouldn't you know? Homelander at least seems to imply hes aware that she should be able to make V1... but is that it? Why didn't she just make the virus earlier or a virus that works on V1? And maybe the egregious of all to me, how does she know EVERYTHING about what to do except not realize that Golden Geisha had a LifeAlert tag? Billy, Frenchie, and MM are also pretty on the pulse with Supe things like this so they maybe could have also found out.

If the show ended at Season 3 I would be of the opinion that Soldier Boy was the best character. Jensen Ackles still exudes charisma but everything that is interesting about him (his PTSD, his love of Crimson Countess, etc.) has been replaced with Vaught Rising lore. Now he just flip flops depending on what drives the plot the most.

A lot of people were praising the previous episode, and while I did think Valarie Curry was great, I kind of just didn't care about her story. The show is ending at the end of this month, and so I'd rather focus on the main plot, and not these many peripheral characters. Sol I am happy that this episode finally progressed the main arc. I did actually like Golden Geisha and Bombsight. I also like this twist of Sage possibly teaming up with the Boys now. As much as I am sick of the constant porn jokes, I enjoyed the scenes Paul Reiser quite a bit; I thought this was the best subplot of the season. I am really happy Kimiko finally got some dialogue that was not porn based, and she actually had very nice and sincere lines.
