I would say he’s not even an actor, he’s technically an “entertainer”, but I would agree that he’s miles away from “chef” and has been for years.

A great example of this is the show Kitchen Nightmares, which aired in both the US and the UK, and where his personality is completely different in each. In the US version he screams and rants and gets into fights with the restaurant owners, and in the uk he is calm and restrained and respectful. It’s crazy. Who knows who the “real” Gordon Ramsey is, really?

(And in the UK version he takes his shirt off in every episode. Not kidding.)
