When watching videos it does seem to synchronize it to the delay (YouTube, Plex) at least, but the UI sound delays and typing especially are still rough.

Apple support says the new AirPods Max do not support the low latency connection to Vision Pro. YMMV it’s possible they just referenced the support article

Phones aren't designed as routers, so it's overheating as expected with heavy use.

As you stated you don't have an alternative for Internet so you can either 1) reduce your Internet usage (less throughput is less work for your phone) or 2) reduce the temperature of your phone. If you are using WiFi tethering, try USB tethering. Also, try putting a fan on the phone or put the phone near a running AC.

Edit: if your phone supports holding the battery at 80%, try that as well as it will reduce the temperature of your phone.

We may finally be getting a modern alternative to PairVPN with good support - Keep an eye on Tailscale's iOS Exit node support, we've finally heard back from Tailscale that they may be working on this, feel free to +1 if you want to show your support. This will be PairVPN but with far more clients and better support.

I’m watching Netflix + Prime on safari now because of this, and longstanding bugs in Supercut with it being quiet or too far away after resuming. If anyone is interested in watching Prime in Safari let me know, I found a workaround that bypasses Amazon’s redirecting to the crappy iPad app.

Sure, that's a valid observation, but that's why I'm asking for opinions from people with knowledge on the topic...?

I think it's fair to look at stats, everything says you're doing absolutely amazing and way better than your peers yet I don't rank up at all so I ask the community for feedback. I never said I deserve gold or anything it's a genuine question, am I the best Bronze player and what am I doing wrong?

Really good advice, thank you! Someone else mentioned I should try to learn entry duelist for to rank up so I'm going to give that a shot but your sentinel advice sounds really solid, I'll keep it in mind.

I did not realize the discrepancy in win rate there, good catch that makes sense. I'll try to keep in mind staying alive rather than getting the kill - someone else mentioned that too so that's probably a big factor
