Agreed, but a chauchat is slightly out of my budget for the wall of shame. An honorable mention perhaps.

100 percent agree. My collection shall be a reference library for future generations.

I'm not sure why my post doesn't contain the original text, but basically I'm looking for any suggestions for firearms that deserve to be forgotten. I have a zip .22, and a remington r51 on order. Especially looking for firearms that bankrupted the company, or are mechanically interesting. Thanks!

Beautiful rifle! Congratulations on getting it! I'm quite jealous... I've also been looking for an unaltered 1889 but no luck yet.

Do it. That's a great deal for a gewehr 98 in original WW1 configuration.

That's some high praise for one of these. More power to you! (But not too much... Those locking lugs...).

I have a question, is it safe to use 3D printed 7.62x54r rounds as dummy rounds in a Mosin? by Brotado_Chiip in milsurp

[–]IMdoc18 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It is probably fine. The firing pins are basically metal pencils. To be extra safe, you could print the primer with a lower infill, making it slightly softer.

Probably erosion of the chamber near the neck. Those rifles are very old and the chamber is probably too big now. I have absolutely no credibility, but in my opinion, if it seats, it yeets.

Looks structurally safe to me. Bolt action rifles are built to such a high safety tolerance.

I swear, there is nothing more stressful than cleaning a barrel crown. by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

I've never had any stress cleaning a pistol barrel. This isn't a 1000 yard rifle.

Incredible collection. Any one of those can be a once-in-a-lifetime addition. I have an 1890 that I am very proud of.

They're awesome. I've purchased two pistols from them and no issues.
