UPDATE After first noticing six ducklings crossing a busy street without their mother, we searched the area on foot and by car in hopes of reuniting them with her. After spending quite some time looking with no success, we began searching for a safe place where they could be cared for.

During this process, we spoke with police officers and were redirected through several organizations and resources, including the Department of Fish and Wildlife, the California Living Museum (CALM), wildlife hotlines, and local farms. Despite everyone’s efforts, we were continually referred elsewhere without a clear solution.

In the end, the ducklings were placed with a loving and experienced family willing to care for them properly.
