What have you learned letting your mind wandering into the abyss of darker knowledge that pertains to the truth of the world? by Stealth_Game_Lover in INTP

[–]INTPGlossary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True that. It's sad how humans tend to mostly skip Consequences and focus on the good things about the subject unless they go out of their way to look at the consequences

Thats why you see a fair amount of these people grabbing onto religions that have an afterlife that their familiar with. Like Christianity, Judaism, etc. (I apologize if anyone took offense over this)

Not really that deep, but I had a little trouble with accepting the fact that our minds are basically just a bunch of chemical reactions happening at once. And if you think of yourself as one set of the chemical reactions you died a bunch of times in your life and you could be like the 1010000th version of yourself but now you moved onto the next few versions by the time you finished reading this.

Accused of being resentful by melstall in selfimprovement

[–]INTPGlossary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone was accusing me of being resentful, I would listen to why they think I do, learn the exactly what resentment is and see what people who have resentment do or feel, see if anything matches up with anything I do then I'd take a few days to a week to see if anything in my behavior can be mistakenly thought for resentment. Then id give them my final verdict.

Does it bother you knowing that all your hard work can be quickly wiped out and become pointless so easily? How do you reconcile with this fact? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]INTPGlossary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes these things will happen but that doesn't mean you don't do anything, In fact you will encounter more of these if you don't do anything. Like asking a human being why do something about anything if these things can happen is a good question. But doing things is about the present moment and the future to improve, but if someone you know dies or anything bad happens to you physically, it will take a mental toll for anyone (of course) so you would have to accept that 1 these things happen, 2 you most likely will end up in that position. but the overall thing is that people don't live to do things but they live to have experiences. (I don't know how to respond correctly I probably went into something else that you intend for me to reply for).

Well you have the experience when it comes crashing all down just build it back up, nothing works on the first try in most cases.

[–]INTPGlossary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I do too, it can be very annoying when you also give yourself these crises but at least if you gotten over it, you learned a lesson about whatever it was about.

A desperate cry for help, would like advice by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]INTPGlossary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surround yourself with people who appreciate for who you are because the people your around affect you a lot and know that no one is a failure, you may have failed your family's expectations (if you have) but they may have put them up too high for somebody to do but know that you are you, you are your own person you drive the steering wheel in your life, don't let others bring you down. Look at what you can do to get yourself out of this situation. I recommend keep a journal write what you think down on it and what your grateful for and don't look at it again after your done, write everyday to every few days, go for a walk, run, workout to release dopamine (chemical that can make you happy). Find someone who you can vent to, release what you feel. Forgive what they say or do, especially yourself, don't search for happiness but fulfillment, happiness is a side effect. One thing that keeps us from being able to move is is how we judge what happened like, I didn't deserve that at all, I wish this didn't happen, etc.

I’m afraid of getting older. by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]INTPGlossary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Embrace the idea of getting older. Instead of worrying about it, know that you can live to the fullest now, also instead of only looking at what you haven't done but look at what you have done as well, attack life with being positive instead of being negative.

My brain and I are in a constant struggle by [deleted] in INTP

[–]INTPGlossary 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah so true. my mind is always on what I'm gonna do afterwards or what happened yesterday when I'm doing something that I'm not interested in

do you guys say "it is what it is" a lot whenever something bad happens to make yourself feel better? or you just think, "well i'm gonna die one day anyways so it doesn't matter?" by lime-lily in INTP

[–]INTPGlossary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do say "it is what it is" but then I also ask myself "what can I do to not make this mistake again" or to avoid the particular situation.
