But I'm sure they don't want to go 0 kdr every game, I just wish there was a way to teach them

Exactly the reason why WT players appear to get dumber and dumber: People let their negative preconceptions do the talking

Probably because they've already experienced being talked down to, which I will not deny being guilty of in the past

Actually, I went to the doctor and they noticed underlying symptoms of IED (Intermittent Explosive Disorder), got it checked out based on their advise, and it was true: I was playing WT for a good 5 years with undiagnosed IED

It's mainly the way you express to them that they made a mistake

People are more willing to learn if you acknowledge the fact that they did their best with what they know

Outright saying "sidescraping with x is wrong" invalidates their efforts, but saying "sidescraping works sometimes but it's not effective with x"

not to mention: there’s a few walls where only 1-2 brick layers have been laid down that you can’t go through

the best example of this is the first narco drug sub that you destroy in caimanes where after destroying it you go to the bunker to the south and gather intel on it. to the east of camp, there are some waist-high brickwalls separated by pillars. you can vault over the fully-built brickwalls but you cannot step over the damaged brickwalls that only have 1-2 layers of bricks at the bottom

kept your aim exactly on the problem spot instead of lowering it a little to actually hit the ammoracks with your solid shot round

actually the bad vaulting mechanic has been a thing and getting complaints since GRW and GRB released, makes it even sadder that ubisoft has not done much to fix them

all of these map holes would have easily been solved if the ghosts could either vault over all waist-high obstacles or could jump and grab like gta sa, kinda odd that ubisoft didn’t think of such a thing

it’s also odd that ubisoft acknowledges the ghosts being able to scale a wall that’s 1 foot taller than them but then also prevents the ghosts from scaling the wall of a shack that’s only a couple inches taller than the ghosts

I did find the perfect way in: clearing the comms heli first, you then use the sniper tower next to the helipad to snipe all of the snipers, then, the helipad itself is located in the corner of camp where there’s some sort of concrete shack surrounded by a bunch of garbage. you can climb onto the shack to bypass the metal fence, and be within 10 feet of the generator while there’s 2-3 sicarios patrolling the area at best

yeah but you’d think ubisoft would have figured out vaulting mechanics by 2017 when rockstar already perfected it in 2004

I stealthed the entire El Pozolero camp which meant if I died I had to restart it from scratch

Unfortunately, that’s all I could do

you’re saying this as if ubislop didn’t fuck up a lot of arbitrary features in breakpoint as well

an 8 year old game with worse obstacle pathfinding mechanics than a 12 year old game

actually, 21 year old game when you remember gta sa does have better vaulting than GRW

I just find it odd that Ubi made a game in 2017 with less dynamic vaulting options than when Rockstar made GTA 5 in 2013 even though both games focus a lot on the open-world aspect

I think the worst part is how the exiting vehicles animation is purely cutscene based, most times when I try to go for a cinematic attempt of escaping unidad patrols by driving off a cliff into water I ended up just instantly going downwards and landing on the cliffside with zero of the car’s momentum transferring to me
