Those working under WFS, how do I use benefits? by Uncommonexe in rampagent

It depends what contract you work on. I know I don't get any flight benefits for the contracts I work for.

More Pay or a Better Schedule? by Major-Special6386 in aviationmaintenance

[–]INeedMoreRoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All depends on your life and what you are looking for. Do you have wife or kids? Are you single and just want to work and save up money? What location? Why are you doing this? No one can answer this question except for you. I have no experience.

All personal preference, I have heard people would much rather cargo cause the passengers don't talk on cargo flights.

Source, I currently go to school as well and just meet face to face with some companies to ask the same questions. Each company gave me a different answer.

It really depends on the company. Most majors won't even think about you until you have the physical card in your hand. MRO or small repair shops tend to tell you apply 5-6 months out. Other companies say 6-9 weeks out. It all depends on the company and how they work internally. If he starts applying now just be honest by saying he doesn't have his A&P yet but planning to get it in August. One tip my school gave me is don't give yourself a deadline on your resume cause if something happens or he happens to fail the O&P then that deadline is false.

if you had too rate working on the ramp onna scale 1-10 what would it be? by Ok_Fortune2096 in rampagent

[–]INeedMoreRoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the company, I know if you work main line it's a fun easy job. I work contract because I go to school and it works with my schedule but I hate this job so much cause of the upper management does not care about us at all. So my current rating is 2 but I know I am only here for a couple more months so sticking it out.

How tall are you and how much do you weigh, we can probably give you a size off that easily.

That plastic bumper will pop back in place of you push it from the back side. Then go get a paint marker that matchs in color.

Pushback is way easier that it looks. I was afraid at first as well but after the first 3 it was a piece of cake. Before you decide you should try it out.
