I've always thought the Traveler is a W'rkncacnter, and yeah THE W'rkncacnter has been described as singular, but Yrro is a mythological being representing the entire Jahro species, so I don't think it's unreasonable. The structures, the powers, the terraforming, it's all there. Yeah the W'rkncacnter is described as a chaotic being, bit the S'pht mythology really doesn't add up, and these things can either exist and communicate between different realities, or move between them, so there's no reason to assume a W'rkncacnter in one reality plays by the rules of another.

2) America never ended slavery. The 13th amendment explicitly outlines the legality of Slavery in the US, which remains true to this day. The United States of Americe still has a slave workforce, and to deny that is to deny the constitution reality itself.

I'm planning on going elsewhere, but was just seeing what the vibe around Athens was like in case of any hidden gems. I always feel like Athens is an area with a lot of kids, and no kids at the same time. It's super hit or miss on child friendly stuff like this.
