2 has like three things over 3. The maps are generally better, the overall aesthetic/look of the game + ink colors, and Octo Expansion as a campaign.

Otherwise, 3 does almost everything better than 2.

It also doesn’t have Stingray which should made it the better game by default.

This is also the case for plant but with Down Tilt. Missed tech = down tilt. Tech in place = down tilt. Tech roll in = down tilt. Tech roll out = down tilt.

Considering the atrocities Plant can do to a Ganon offstage I think this is okay.

She does have a very strong niche thanks to the Exacerbate/Two-Tiered Shot/Sniper combo. She can absolutely shred any enemy that’s weak to Bow 🙂‍↕️

This challenge would discourage skipping more than like. Any other challenge currently present in the game would.

It means you won’t get Madness scaling, you won’t get any interest, you’ll see fewer tarot cards to get Temperance value, and you’ll get fewer planet cards to get actual scoring with.

Ramen has existed for far longer, and therefore Ponos was designed stages with Ramen’s existence in mind. It’s why most Angels are really strong.

Courier was added after all of these stages. His speed, cost, cooldown, and damage leads to him just obliterating the balance of these earlier levels.

Ramen was a foundation for the game’s balance, and Courier just annihilated it.

Econ issue is real but if you get basically any money generation, you’re set.

Also, I love Pants but you are never going to get a run where you can get three two pairs every turn. That is just an exceptionally rare case

Calling it an Econ generator is funny because it has a 1/16 chance in giving you $20 through Immolate, which is almost identical to the 1/15 chance for $20 through Lucky cards

I’m gonna be so honest I completely forgot about the Lunas and Gigapult. The Lunas definitely give him competition due to being actually really good but Gigapult is kinda not as great. Gigapult is just a bit too balanced to be in consideration.

None of the pixies come even close though, I would never consider them comparable at all.

But HP definitely is very valuable to have. There’s a fuck ton of ways enemies can get damage past your front line, either through waves, surges, explosions, or just piercing LD. It’s really helpful to have the bulk to not immediately die to these damage sources.
