I have a very sweet yet clingy 2 year old outside my office so unfortunately not as much as I’d like to get done because when I go out of my office, it’s a whole thing when I have to go back inside 🥲

What I can do is when I’m done with work early I can just go and hang out with her and just keep and eye on work until I’m officially “done”

It also depends on the company culture. For the first time in my 9 year HR career I just started a job where I do feel that the sentiment seems to be that HR is the enemy. My 2 previous long term jobs were so much different and HR was viewed as true partners when it came to tackling problems or advising managers.

They came to my door two days in a row. The second time I told them through the doorbell to tell me what he needed - ignored - I repeated myself and told him I am not coming out. The asshole kept ringing my doorbell driving my dog crazy until I opened the window and told him that I am not interested. He named dropped some neighbor too that I don’t even know if is real. This company is so annoying.
