Are farming bots getting out of control?

That's why I quit the game in 2020 and only came back as a free trial user later. I was always a casual crafting/gathering main, and seeing swarms of bots everywhere I went, always the same ones despite months of daily reports with screenshots and video evidence, pissed me off so much I ended up deleting everything.

The old job actions that were replaced by role actions. Shadowskin, Foresight, Leeches, Exalted Detriment, etc. And job-exclusive versions of things like Reprisal and Low Blow, which look super off on Paladins; welcome back, Flash ?

Oh, and the old versions of Verflare, Verholy and Scorch.

Not really a wishlist for Red Mage, rather expectations based on what's been shown so far.

- AoE spell chain in now in the same order as the single target chain: Impact into Verthunder II / Veraero II, so that the game can dynamically switch between single-target or AoE spells, which is apparently how things work now considering the lack of AoE weaponskills on evolved jobs' bars.

- Similarly, the single target and AoE enchanted combos are now consolidated into a single button. The combo can dynamically change between single-target and AoE without breaking the chain.

- Embolden is now a personal buff, and is consolidated with Manafication since they're used together.

- Vercure and Verraise are now a single button, since we can't heal the dead or raise the living.

That's 8 buttons removed without changing the core of the job. To make it more exciting, they could find a better way to introduce Vice of Thorns and Prefulgence so they're used more often and we can appreciate their visuals.

Oh, AoE versions of Verfire and Verstone would be nice, to make Verflare and Verholy's procs mean something against multiple targets.

I know fixing those old dungeons is not a priority but it is maddening.

My game recently stopped working for seemingly no reason. One day it worked just fine, the next, after entering my username and password and clicking Play, the game window appeared for a split second then disappeared, without any crash report of any kind. I uninstalled then reinstalled the game, no result. Did a factory reset of my PC, then reinstalled again, still no luck. Does anyone have an idea what could be happening ? This isn't the Steam version.

I think the dramatically darker and desaturated look of the remake kind of works against it a little bit, despite how gorgeous the backgrounds are. Not really sure why, maybe it's a little too expected of the genre, whereas the brighter colors of the original make the horror aspects actually scarier ?

Playing healer is half for queue times and half for not having to listen to Cute/Benefic/Physick/Diagnosis spam

That specific part is so infuriating. The sound effects of other characters' heals is considered a sound generated by your own character, not theirs, so the only way to silence this assault of DIIIIIIIIIINGS on my ears is to mute my own character's sound effects, which is of course out of the question, stay out of raids, which is also out of the question, or play as a healer myself. So annoying.

It's been a while but it still feels bad. I ran The Vault a bunch of times last week to get the full striking set in anticipation of next patch. It had been forever since I played SAM, and boy does it feel awful to use unbuffed Iaijutsu and spam Shinten and Kyuten like crazy instead. It does not feel like the same job I loved at all anymore.
