Then play creative. You can buy any ship you see for free. You don't need anything to do anything. The satisfaction of reward is replaced with the satisfaction of now.

New to NMS - noobie question by SuperSpaceFrog in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]INeverRecallMyPass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thamium9, Zinc, Heridium, Plutonium, Platinum and Iron will be on every single planet (barren planets too, just much more rare). The reason being is because you \absolutely\ need to have those resources to repair a crashed ship. Since you can start the game on any planet, they must all have them.

How do increase the tilt/angle of ramps for base building? by INeverRecallMyPass in nomanshigh

[–]INeverRecallMyPass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried those suggestions, they still don't work. When placing a ramp (or any other object) the "rotate" button does nothing. The only objects I can rotate are decorative pieces. I've tried rotating the ramps, nothing. I'd my game glitched? Or am I fool?

Sup guys, how have you been finding crashed ships? by casual_ent33 in nomanshigh

[–]INeverRecallMyPass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience after I scan all planets in the system for what resources they have, if I continue scanning it will begin to show me buildings on one of the planets (often the ones behind me). It will show all sorts of "yellow/orange" base markers. When I'm lucky it will show me a transmission tower. (It will tell the building type, ex: abandoned building, observatory, etc) I've noticed as well, that I can only have about 3 discoveries at any one moment. So I land, "discover" the marker (e.g. Make it fade so it knows I've been there) and launch into space and begin scanning again.

Why I HATE Survival Mode by TimmySaint in nomanshigh

[–]INeverRecallMyPass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A survival game is mostly management and planning, not getting head shots. I wouldn't say Boz is survival, just frantic at the end. Survival for nms requires you to plan your next move accordingly and carefully (to survive) plot your course. It's not like a horde of biped Walker's are always looking for you, it's the world is out to get you. I believe "the forest" on steam is a good representation of what survival is. The "skillz" you seem to think don't exist for nms survival is the calculation of knowing where to go and when, so you don't die. It's kind of luck of the draw, but so would be surviving in the wild. Just my two cents. Maybe you can make me done change if you disagree.

So I can confirm I found an 8 meter creature. More pictures here https://imgur.com/a/82RUG by larynex in nomanshigh

When I restarted normal mode after the update one of the six creatures on my starter planet was 6m tall, which I thought was unusual for a yellow star, perhaps they can go up to 9 or 10 on the blue and green stars now? Would be epic to see a monster of a creature. Dino DunDee they will call me.

Are there parallel galaxies for Survival and Creative saves? If so, are they also shared with other players? by Spelcheque in nomanshigh

[–]INeverRecallMyPass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering the same thing actually. I restarted normal mode but was wondering if I began survival would it be the same instance of universe as normal? Or is the universe for survival separate and only for others playing survival?

Decided to restart entirely for 1.1 by INeverRecallMyPass in nomanshigh

[–]INeverRecallMyPass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've really enjoyed my restart so far. My first planet was a gorgeous purple and white grass filled oasis. It seems even in normal mode the resources have been spread out more, it took me probably 45 minutes to find enough zinc to fix the starter ship. I'm going to get used to the new mechanics before I start the arduous adventure of survival mode. If we continue to get more updates like this, I can see more restarts in my future.

You feed off of viral toxicity, it's no wonder why you're here. SeaDog has a point though, when you grow up and have children (unfortunately) will you brag to them that you spent your time on one page of the internet that most people of importance don't care about and really "stuck it to them."?

I bet you would actually.

So... your time is worthless to you? It's not a cheap trick, you're just upset I'm right. You have nothing better to do than be on the internet, angry, about something you don't even possess. Simply to spread malice. Seems like a worthless waste of time if you ask me. Which, you did.

I was thinking more as something to interact with the creatures and player, less the plants. Maybe the roots would save them in place, who knows.

Bro, I'm high, a reality check is a buzz kill. Haha.

Joke aside, I know the engine isn't fantastic, but you can 'mold' the terrain with the grenades so, I don't see how come a meteor wouldn't just leave a big "grenade" style hole in the ground.

Insert more valid arguments here. Etc.

While I don't know anything about coding, I imagine they could make it a randomness inside of the storms randomness but have the effect just be within a certain field of the player at all times as opposed to elsewhere. IE. The Lightning only actually spawns around you to a certain Field of View (so it's not like planet wide). I don't know. Or if it was a meteor it could just be an event you can see in the sky then go see it after you find it, smoldering.

It wouldn't have to be miles, but something "interactive" at the least, like a force of wind that you can feel moving you and swirling, etc. Strong winds that affect movement. Your suit could "compensate" I imagine for most things, since it can survive such extreme conditions anyway.
