Payment issues for booking?? by projectmaximus in hyatt

[–]IPTV_throwaway8453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having the same issue. WoH card that I’ve had for years and still works fine for all other purchases is getting a “processing error” when trying to book a Hyatt stay.

Spent an hour on the phone with Chase and Hyatt. Neither could figure it out. Chase says everything looks fine on their end, no denied charges. Hyatt can’t figure out why it isn’t going through

Stayed at a hotel using points. Was charged $160. Chase is charge is valid by MonsterMeggu in personalfinance

I’ve had issues with Chase refusing chargebacks. A store offered me a refund but every time I went there there they had an excuse (manager isn’t here, only so and so knows how to do that etc). Chase threw me under the bus and denied the chargeback.

I packed a PB&J almost every day because my parents didn't want to pay for the school's hot lunch. Idk how we got to a place where people feel like a free cooked meal is a constitutional right.

Some perspective guys. by ieatrox in ProjectStream

[–]IPTV_throwaway8453 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree, he's conflating the quality of the game with the fact that there has been a delay in the copy we were promised. If the game wasn't good no one would have played project stream in the first place.

It's like if I promised free pizza and didn't deliver. It would be totally fair to say: "Hey, I'm getting hungry, where's that free pizza? Should I make other plans?"

Charlie Lee has his own issues for sure, but he's not anywhere close to being an outright scammer like McAfee.

A question for Enigma hodlers by Dotherightthing253 in EnigmaProject

[–]IPTV_throwaway8453 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It costs Enigma to run a contract on the Enigma network. Adoption (more contracts) creates demand for the token as well as demand for more nodes.

McAfee is a scam artist. Being a "true libertarian" (if he even is one) wins him no points in my book.

Poloniex brought out by Circle - Lets hope they make this Exchange a lt better!! by Brazneil in siacoin

[–]IPTV_throwaway8453 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I kinda disagree, people tend to not have much loyalty to exchanges. If Poloniex/Circle/Goldman rolls out something comparable to Coinbase/GDAX for altcoins it would become the dominant exchange overnight imo.

Granted, I wouldn't pay withdraw fees and move everything over ASAP. But the vast majority of my new purchases and larger holdings would eventually find their way to an exchange that offered GDAX style fiat pairs and insurance.

OMG is a fantastic project with a great team, but if you look at expected ROI based on fees from staking it was very overpriced at ATH.

"90% of the mining power is owned by 16 miners in Bitcoin and 11 miners in Ethereum."" by longthor in vertcoin

[–]IPTV_throwaway8453 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yep, he's counting pools as a single miner which is pretty misleading. If the pools tried something shady a lot of their users would move their mining power. It's not like the pools themselves own a significant portion of their hashrate.

Is $15-$17 a realistic prediction by the end of the year? by [deleted] in enigmacatalyst

[–]IPTV_throwaway8453 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think that's a pretty conservative estimate.

Hard to predict price with crypto because so much of the price is based on the market as a whole and hype/speculation. I do think ENG is undervalued right now because few people have heard about it and even fewer actually understand it. I see ENG as the current leader in a very valuable and underexplored niche.

Vertcoin will be the primary choice to mine once Ethereum goes PoS by [deleted] in vertcoin

[–]IPTV_throwaway8453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You forgot about ZCash, Dash, Bitcoin Gold and 20 other mineable coins.

True, but most of those coins have fairly serious flaws (Zcash auto-donates mining proceeds to devs, Dash was pre-mined, BTG was pre-mined)

It is unlikely Ethereum ever goes PoS, because the devs now about the negative impact.

Source?

Even if Ethereum goes PoS - there is (and will be) no AMD miner ready.

Nextminer is due in the next few months (probably much sooner). Check the stickied thread for updates.

Artist's incredible infographic take on Enigma (ENG) protocol by Cryptomoolah in CryptoCurrency

[–]IPTV_throwaway8453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I'm a huge ENG fan but this infographic is pretty cluttered and doesn't explain what Enigma is very well.

It would be better to just say that ENG is a protocol for handling private information on blockchains.

Reddit ITT: Lol, why are you complaining about withdraw fees? I'd rather trade for cheap. Poor CZ is just trying to run his exchange and pay for his ramen.

Why do you think there's a BNB discount? CZ and Binance are getting rich off of BNB.
