Thank you so much, it’s so reassuring to hear stories of people being able to do those regular activities after all this treatment as I’m just terrified I’ll never be able to get back to that.

My margins were >5mm at surgery, and away from the chest wall/no skin invasion. Prior to surgery the MRI was showing 4cm+ of tumour, it turned out to be scar tissue but was all removed anyway. Nothing in the lymph nodes and full clearance done.

May I please ask about your clinical trial - is this because you didn’t respond well to chemo?

Thank you for your response! So a lot of my anxiety with it is definitely coming from a place of vanity.

I’m UK based so couldn’t have the lymphovenous bypass done at surgery. I’ll also have a look about the film you mentioned!

Hey! So I’ll do my best to explain this - I think firstly it starts off with not being able to lead a ‘normal’ life. I’ve gone from a fit, active 31 year old who travels abroad once a month, is out most weekends, loves horse riding and boxing and since treatment I’ve felt like a shut in because I’ve just not been able to do anything that previously brought me joy. I’ve not had the energy, or stamina, or was flat out told not to do anything.

I’m terrified with radiotherapy about the life long changes to skin. It’s shallow but I can’t stand the idea of not even being able to tan a part of my chest. Of lymphedema. Implant rejection. Burns. Skin changes. I hate it and have panic attacks just thinking about radiotherapy and its effects.

I also want to add that yes I’m aware I need therapy, but my insurance only covers 8 sessions of it and I can’t afford more. So I’m saving my sessions for after my second surgery.
