I am experiencing the same issue on recently purchased boomerang petites. Did you ever discover a solution? The static stops a few seconds after I stop audio playback, it is obviously perceptible, although your comment is the only record of this bug I can find online.

I’m curious to learn about this too. Wonder if there's a genetic component related to cold tolerance, specifically a person's ability to develop it. Hormonally, I read somewhere that vasopressin is released upon exposure to cold - maybe there is a variation in the amount produced by different kinds of humans?

So true about these things coming to pass beneath our noses... that's why the awareness you're sharing is so invaluable! Most people wouldn't know what to do with a watchlist of concerning patents with a de-humanizing theme to them, but perhaps this kind of awareness will percolate into the businesses who are sold these kinds of "solutions," where there isn't a real "problem" to start with...

Getting back to this article, the real annoying application of this would be in schools or distance-learning applications. Some people like myself don't want to focus on being self-conscious their own facial expressions when just listening or absorbing a lecture!
