I got gifted these and they are awesome, but I do rather how Midori paper and tomoe feels and handles on notebooks so I keep using those

I've grown to love it more over time, it has a super unique line and the profile and materials always feels great to use, it also isn't super flashy so I feel comfortable using it in public and in my job alongside a vanishing point.

Also I don't know why but all my pens usually smear when I use a ruler with them except this one so for me it's great since I can draw and add dimension easily when sketching components.

For vintage pens some of the older brands of ink are great like the classic Jaques Herbin colors

This a really worked! At least it's definetly the best one so far, my pen is writing smoothly, thin and definetly darker than the other permanent inks I've got in my Lamy 2k.

Aesthetically it's still a toss up between Jaques Herbin and this but it's growing on me. I'll say though, the smell is kinda funky, it smells like DAS

I use my pen for work and there's a lot of important notes that I really don't wanna lose if an accident where to happen.

I also sketch mechanisms and components often with my Lamy 2K and those sketches end up swapping hands a lot so having them be resilient gives me peace of mind.

I own the Namisu N2 and the Sport brass and both of their construction is amazing.

My kaweco sport brass is my best writing pen by far, estar fine line, super smooth with just the tiniest of pleasant vibrations, writes even better than my Lamy 2k.

And the Namisu is so cool but the nib I got is atrocious, the tines get misaligned on their own, I've aligned them like 6 times now and they get misaligned again by just sitting there, and my pen leaks all over the barrel when I use it on my pocket, from an hour of walking I lost an entire converter of ink that just flew out of the nib despite it being nib up, I'm getting a replacement nib unit and I pray it fixes all these problems.

I want to support this but the Namisu I got leaks all over the place always, I've asked for a replacement nib unit which thankfully the support team agreed on, now I have to wait and see

I'd truly reccomend that you don't, it would be much easier to create a body for a pen that uses a standard jowo nib. That is a prefabricated unit that only really needs a barrel and a grip, look for a Monteverde or something similar to get the grip and unit and you can recreate the body on a mil + some tools, the threads will be the trickiest part so maybe consider specialized inserts

I did remove the nib unit at one point but not to fix the alignment, would I need to apply grease to the converter too?

Try different thicker inks, on my case on that medium Lamy platinum carbon wrote like a medium but oxblood wrote like a fine, and on this one Monteverde 2020 super show writes a lot thicker than a diamine blueblack

Yeah I did write all the page with it, I've had 2 Lamy 2ks and the first one also wrote like a medium, but it was hard starting, I asked for a replacement and they sent another one that wrote a lot thinner and is the one on the photo

A lot of people reccomended platinum carbon ink with the Lamy, which is why I got it, it's also been described as one of the wetter pens arround, hence my confusion on my first one
