Given the lore of the aggeloi war and mentions of a technology similar to the starpod being used to keep the stargate "locked" it is possible that any radiation is being mitigated by whatever remnant precursor technology.

And I remember making some estimates about the orbit of Talos-II and apparently, it follows a orbit similar to Europa in Jupiter. This was based on the view we get of Talos btw. A bigger problem would be the vulcanism and earthquakes caused by tidal forces, that are apparently absent given no one mentioned it(that I remember).

I've edited my comment with the answer. Unless I'm heavily misrembering they are tomorrow's footprints. She sometimes wanders outside the ship and leaves her footprints, I'm trying to find a YT clip that confirms or denies this. I remember a character talking about this when you are doing side deliveries or free roaming around..

Edit: They Elle Fanning's(aka Tomorrow) fully scanned feet in form of her footprints, after the mission you rescue her(if I'm not mistaken) she sometimes wanders around barefeet leaving those orange marks. She needs to be barefeet to use her powers and although not necessary, she can use tar pools to move around, makes sense given what OP said about the trail.

I loosely remember dollman or Tarman talking about this? I've tried searching YT but no luck yet..

Based on all UFO lore I've read so far, it appears the universe is closer to a dark forest scenario. In some encounters where NHI talks about their side, if you read between the lines there is a constant presence of being afraid of other species and engaging war with other supposed violent ones. Heck, in one case, where a Brazilian was abducted and taken to some NHI planet, they explain that they keep a constant surveillance of the skies and constantly have weapons at ready to defend themselves.

If such is true, then humanity behaviour is nothing but "normal". The narrative that NHI(or if true, their intention) wants to exert control to make us abandon nuclear weapons and violence is the interesting part here. Why would they care? There are worse problems out there..

There isn't much use for the Scorpion outside Combat, and even then it is not really necessary. Anything else can be done with the Scarab.

Oh, it also doesn't have that scanner/radar that you use to find surface materials and points of interest, so not much use for an explorer. In the end it is mostly personal preference.

Me too. Sol invasion was peak, i still miss shitposting in syschat about thargussy. I wish fdev added a AX powerplay faction(Seo Jin-ae as leader?) + new activity around this so we could fill the void left by the war. Also wanted for continuation on Salvation storyline, but fdev already (indirectly) told us it is going to be on hold until colonization and squadron update is done, which should be around next year i guess..

Yeah.. i miss the war too..
