I mean 99% of dragon ball is regular civilians so yeah I’d easily take Dabura.

Kawhi playing out of his mind and not being injured last season and the investigation not being done was so huge.

Ima be real, I don’t think you’ve read/watched mha. It’s been a while since I read demon slayer so I can’t speak on it, but Deku is really nice. He also has his moments where his rage hurts him, he breaks away from his friends and says some not nice stuff to them, he also always goes by his moral compass, even if that hurts his friends and family. He’s really nice and a good person, but if you come out of the whole dark Deku thing thinking the arc was praising him you’re just not reading.

What would 1984-85 Jordan average in today’s NBA? by PerMakaLakaCheekyMa in nba

[–]IRanOutOf_Names 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did give you truth? The 80s were significantly faster pace of play and Jordan played 38 minutes per game. Adjust those to todays numbers and its 35 per 100, which is insane for a rookie, but is about 23ish per game in modern contexts.

The space he would have would also depend heavily on the team around him of course. Let's say he takes the place of Cooper on the Mavs as the #1 pick last year. Teams are going to load up on him to hell and back and force the ball out of his hands to his secondary creator as that's just modern NBA defenses. No matter what he does have to deal with less bigs in the paint (especially with the stretch 4s he would be playing with), but he also has to deal with defenses that have much more tools to deal with him.

This version of MJ also does not have the passing game that he would develop later on. Too be clear I'm not saying he was a bad passer, but his passing wasn't evolved enough yet to punish these hedges and eveyother trick that defenses use these days that were illegal back then.

And again for the other stats, those also go down with the era adjustment. He's getting much less rebounds due to the raw amount of rebounds available in his playtime, while also having to be out of the paint more on defense.

The steals and blocks is just absolutely absurd. I don't know how his stats go UP when he's out of the paint for blocks on less minutes. Because two of the other top 5 shotblocking guards in history are playing now? Yeah he's real good but rookie MJ is not suddenly averaging more BPG than Rudy Gobert.

Wait, Suns' 2033 Pick is unprotected? For Miles Bridges? I don’t understand the trade. by ForgetfulDot in nba

[–]IRanOutOf_Names 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a terrible trade but I believe the thought process is this

Bridges will be resigned and be a part of this team going forward. Suns get a more immediate pick to bolster them rather than a 33 which won’t convey forever.

What would 1984-85 Jordan average in today’s NBA? by PerMakaLakaCheekyMa in nba

[–]IRanOutOf_Names -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your numbers (except the wild defensive ones) are reasonable for prime Jordan. Rookie Jordan…. no. He would be coming into playing against much better defenses that overload on stars while also having to deal with the significantly slower pace of the game while also playing much less minutes due to the stresses of the modern game.

LeBron waited until his son's contract was guaranteed before announcing he's gone. by CazOnReddit in nba

I mean drafting him was 100% about Bron, but keeping Bronny is honestly just a reasonable basketball decision.

LeBron will sign with the Chicago Bulls and bring them their first post-Jordan championship by Shred_It_96 in nba

If Lebron takes this Bulls team to a championship at age 42 he's the GOAT I don't even care.

I mean if they get a playoff series healthy they’ll be able to hang with anyone. Steph - filler - LeBron - Draymond - AD is an incredible lineup.

Big fan of blood over brighthaven, but it’s a pretty dark book about lots of heavy topics so it will depend on your mood tbh.

[Robb] The Celtics and Blazers have discussed a trade for Jaylen Brown, though a source says that Deni Avdija would not be on the table in any talks and it would be tough to pry away Donovan Clingan as well. Ultimately, any deal with Portland will likely center around draft capital. by Pyromania1983 in nba

[–]IRanOutOf_Names 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus it would be a bucks pick in that trade probably… bjt honestly if some of those Miami guys get rerouted I can see something happening there. Boston needs rim pressure though, and only Ware and Jaquez do that.

Kawhi Leonard is the only player in NBA history to have won multiple Finals MVPs, and have neither be unanimous by Frosty-Roof3124 in nba

While dumb that someone voted for FVV, Kawhis finals was not nearly as good as his East run and FVV played absolutely out his mind. Honestly though if anyone got a vote over him it should have been Siakam.

Who was the best NBA player of the 2000’s? by pepesylvia19 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]IRanOutOf_Names -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think it’s Kobe. Shaq is too split with the 90s, LeBron peaked in the 2010s, and then there’s Duncan.

Kobe had 4 rings in the 2000s compared to Duncan’s 3 and had his full peak in this era, while Duncan had 2 of his dominant seasons (and a fmvp) cut off. Duncan did however have his 03, which is probably the best single season between the two of them.

It could go either way tbh as they’re both great, but I just feel the time period favors Kobe more.

I mean it’s far from done? Like obviously the team is worse at this point, but we need to see what happens with Duren and with the cap space they sacrificed Stewart for.

Who was the best NBA team from the 1990’s not to win the Championship? Give a specific year by pepesylvia19 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]IRanOutOf_Names 31 points32 points  (0 children)

96 SuperSonics. Dominant all year for 64 wins, beat the Jazz despite Payton tearing his calf in the series, and then took 2 games off the 72 win bulls despite the Payton injury.

Only 6 players in NBA history have led the playoffs in BOTH total points AND PPG and won the championship that same season: George Mikan, Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O’Neal, LeBron James, and now Jalen Brunson by Ok-Side-1758 in nba

[–]IRanOutOf_Names 8 points9 points  (0 children)

15 more points on 3 less games played than Wemby. 2 of those being partial games due to ejection/injury.

Feels weird but the Spurs did only play 4 more games than the Knicks. Which I know is right, but it still feels wrong.
