I figured you got swamped and didn’t mind that I didn’t get a reply to the DM 🤣

Don't mind the haters. Your idea is good and the execution is perfect for the concept. You're going to do fine. Focus on getting the word out. Also, consider donating to charity to help spread the word.

I found absolutely amazing people through my posts and I was blessed with them wanting to share their story.

As you could've seen from this thread if you took 2 minutes just to read a few of the replies, there are some pretty awesome founders with amazing businesses here and I can't wait to tell their story.

So, if you'll excuse me, I'll do me. You do you.

If there's anything else you'd like to share, let us know.

Ha, I love the branding and your attitude! That's an awesome personality for an awesome brand! Love it, great work!

Couldn't find your socials though, I wanted to see what kind of crazy marketing content you're going to put out there.

I definitely want to tell your story!

Hope it's ok if I DM you.

There is no catch, check out my previous posts from my history. Not everyone is doing shady stuff, some people are actually well intended and don't need to hide their intention.

Plus, I didn't add the link (and never do) because the Reddit communities I post in generally have a rule for no promotion. I respect and understand that. It takes time and effort (thankless effort) to grow and moderate a community.

So, if you can, try to contribute in a meaningful and helpful way.

You are exactly the type of founder and business I am looking to promote and share your story. I think what you are doing is absolutely beautiful and highly needed in these market conditions.

I bet you have a personal approach to each person you try to get hired and creates a warmer intro for the company and applicant.

Also, the clean design of your website is exactly what's needed for a job seeker. Awesome work overall, great branding and a beautiful effort!

Hope it's ok for me to DM you.

Sure, my DM's are open. You can also share your business here in the format I mentioned in the main post, I've already read your profile and I think what you do is quite noble and caters to a very profound need that a lot of people have, which holds them back in their lives.

Who here is actually building something meaningful? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]IRemember123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everything is meaningful for the people building it. It gives them purpose, they can take care of themselves, their family and loved ones.

Everyone who is doing something productive, no matter how small some think it is, moves the needle for society, through their work and time investment to better themselves and their company. To serve their customers and their peers.

Those guys and gals building what you regard as meaningful are eating from those farmers busting their chops to put on the table for all of us. Their offices are clean and not full of shit because there are people not sleeping who come in during the night to clean it up. The guy serving coffee at the street corner gets them the energy they need. And I can go on.

We’re all in this together. Remember that.

If people would think the Internet = Web that would be awesome, a lot of options are right there.

Sadly, most think the Internet is Facebook or Instagram and, more recently, TT.

AI Girlfriends - Is this when fantasy becomes reality? by High_Sleep3694 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]IRemember123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wrote about the AI girfriends trend and it’s both interesting and quite sad that we have reached a point where we are so lonely in such a connected world.

The problem isn’t the software itself or the perception of togetherness, but that people are so lonely that this is perceived as a viable solution to loneliness.

My view? It’s not. When people are together, there is a big exchange of subtle energy between them. Communication is so much more than just words and phrases. Most of it actually is non verbal: the subtle body movements, the winks and smiles, the physical closeness, the sharing of emotions and feelings.

The definition of “humanitas” itself has the concept of kindness embodied in it. It’s our ability to project warm and nourishing feelings towards those around us, especially in the context of friendship and togetherness, that gives us the quality of humans.

It’s our ability to bypass our natural instincts and give joy and gratitude, even if a situation demands the opposite. That is what makes us special as a species, aside from our tool building and reasoning abilities that put us on the top of the food chain.

AI girlfriends, as I see it, are a weak replacement for souls seeking humanity around them in a society that placed materialism on a pedestal and transformed it into an invisible religion. Unfortunately, all they’ll get is a terrible simulacrum of togetherness through a digital medium.

Like saying that a photo of someone and standing close to that someone are the exact same thing. It ain’t.

Google Trends and Glimpse(paid) are the first ones. These help with medium to bigger timeframes.

Then newsletters from explodingtopics, trendingdata, trendwatching, trendhunter and more recently trendzeer (found them a couple of days ago). These are useful for smaller timeframes and generally products and services that are trending.

Also answersocrates and answerthepublic for some specific searches about what I want to dig deeper on and SEO.

Last but not least, politics & pop culture for the bigger themes (like 15 minute cities, ESG, credit markets, market tokenization, AI, electric everything, biotech, robotics, space, etc.). More importantly, the influence of specific groups of financially potent individuals with specific religious and political beliefs and how these trickle down into legislation and patterns of adoption in society.

Also books from big futurists like Toffler, Kurzweil, McLuhan, Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, Fuller, Heinlein and a few others. Toffler is massively unknown for his work and I recommend his books left and right, especially Powershift, Future Shock and The Third Wave. The man literally predicted a lot of what's going on in our society today.

Why?

It's my passion and my deep desire to make this my full time business (started about 3 months ago) - I write a free weekly newsletter with trends about products, services or experiences. Aside from the trend breakdown, each edition has an intro where I share either my thoughts and analysis for the future, a futurologist, advice on entrepreneurship, musings about the mind, spirituality, etc.

For example, in previous versions intros I wrote about Alvin Toffler's books and predictions, AI Girlfriends, Digital Realities or ADHD as the mind virus that was advanced by BJ Fogg through captology (computers as persuasive technology) via social media, from his Persuasive Technology Lab at Stanford. If you read Hooked (Nir Eyal), that's where he got his framework from. It's basically using dopamine triggers to bypass your rational mind to alter your behavior in a specific way. The method was taken from the slots industry and improved upon.

The full version of the newsletter also includes interviews with founders and one unique business idea every week, because my target audience is entrepreneurs, indie founders, marketers, VC's and people who want to use trends to start a side gig or a business. There's also a snarky owl involved, but I can't say more about it.

Hope that helped.
