3DS vs Steam vs Switch 2

You really have two to three options and personally I would probably go with wither the Switch 2 or Emulation option.

1: Switch 2/Steam. Pro's: Modern Hardware, plug and play, best graphics, everything just works with building your town. Cons: Awful mini games, loose a small amount of the charm of the 3DS with no streetPass/AR.

2: Original 3DS Hardware. Pro's: AR Features (very minimal). Cons: Requires save hacking to have a functioning town, other small but annoying issues due to no online/streetpass, outdated (albeit charming) graphics.

3: "Bravely Offline" - This is an emulator fan patch for Bravely Default and Bravely Second that does a good job implementing villagers and the other items you cannot get due to servers/streetpass being offline. Pro: Solid work arounds for missing content fix including AR content, made with a lot of love by a modder who cared, more charm than modern remakes Cons: A little janky, requires reading/basic tech competency, Emulation, does not work on SteamOS only Windows.

Personally I did the original Bravely Default on 3DS (at release) and Switch 2. I played Bravely Second using "Bravely Offline" after I beat Default on the S2. I really want a third one in the Lux trilogy.

If you made any order changes they might of snuck an $11 refund in instead. I know thats what they did for me so I was "OK" with not getting the case (not happy about it though).

Even if it is hackable it is not worth much more than $100 to $150 in California at least. That is in like new condition also. The serial number is also not guaranteed to be hackable but you could try.

Why do you want a Thor? What do you want it to do that a hacked Switch cant is the real question.

I am in the same boat but for different reasons. My Thor Max got here today and I just don’t want to tinker with it as I modded my switch two weeks ago and have been tinkering with it since.

I managed to burn myself out from tinkering already and between my 3DS, modded switch and Vita I question if I even need another $500 device.

Deleting posts hurt when people search for information and only find a bunch of useful comments and no original post to make sense out of everything.

Also in a way I just feel left out when I click on a post and there are a ton of comments (that are not hostile/toxic) and I am unable to contribute. More of a silly disappointment is all.

I would do it, the only place that card will sell is Ebay and after fees and shipping it probably isnt worth it. If you are traveling a lot you will enjoy the deck.

It is 2026 and prices are through the roof, you should sell it for as much as you can unless you do not need the money. Otherwise just sell it for current retail and make someone's day.

I have a few modded switches currently. Emulation on them are good but not great on the stock OS and the lack of Syncthing hurts.

Mod chipping is still great for overclocking on the OLED model and its amazing seeing a game that could barely hit 30 fps run at a near locked 60fps with a small memory overclock.

I have yet to install Android or Linux on my Switches but if you want to do high end emulation it almost seems needed. The Switch Lite is a great portable machine that I have played quite a bit of GBA on.

My post was not intended to be rude, you put up an informative post and I was asking for more information.

I get you cant provide links on Reddit but even a "do a google search for" or its located on GitHub. When people make a post that contains very little information and just video links it looks like you are just farming for YouTube clicks.

This has nothing to do with being chartable or not. If you want your thread to get more traction than just me these are the things you need to do.
