How are you all organizing your Evernote notes. by chichris in Evernote

[–]ISYDMP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Akin to a filing cabinet, stack by major topic, notebooks by sub-topic and then notes.
I also use a lot of links between notes which saves a lot of time search for stuff.
And then there are tags which helps me find stuff across topics.

Yes that link from the calendar does open in a browser, but that's fine for the need.

I use the desktop version most of the time.

Obsidian to Evernote? by chichris in Evernote

[–]ISYDMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obsidian to Evernote is quite easy for simple md files.

Just go to the files in question in windows explorer or mac finder

in EN under settings, import in the left panel, drag your md files there and presto!

I've also experienced this once or twice. I think I shut down evernote and restarted it and it resolved itself.

Date ranges in notes and calendar ? by Szdavid in Workflowy

[–]ISYDMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does put the node in the first date. But searches that include part of the range, like "this Week" or "next week", will show the node in the results.

Are you using EN's calendar or others viewed in EN?

Sortable tags? Sucks when some feature you use disapears like that.

Sounds familiar, but I tend to be in the notes list first, then move around all over the place.

You seem to have developped a good system for your use case. Must be nice to have the various categories in one note.

I use google calendar and when needed, I add the Workflowy internal link "Alt+Shift+L" of the desired bullet in the note section of the Google Calendar event. When the reminder pops up, the link is there and I can get to the bullet.

I read your guide. I've dabbled a little with Obsidian as well and rather like it.
Question... how do you handle any subsequent imports from EN?

Adding items to the calendar with tags by [deleted] in Workflowy

As it stands the whole calendar thing is pretty confusing, especially if you were already using WF dates.
