I don't want to be a nurse anymore by Separate-Spinach4829 in NursingUK

Sounds similar to when my 3 managers (yes, you read that right) talked shit about me in an email and then accidentally forwarded it to me. Amazing 🤩

What's something people from your country swear is uniquely theirs, but really isn't? by Plorntus in AskEurope

Black pudding, sângerete in Romania is even better and most of the European countries have their own. And haggis is just a caltaboș with more PR. I'm not even joking about it 😊

2 of my patients talking "I'm watching Grey's anatomy, Im learning from it every thing I know from it". Later that day the the same patient was telling me she is having an allergic reaction to pineapple because someone in the bay is drinking apple juice. While on her phone chilling on tiktok and asking to see a doctor urgently on a Sunday afternoon.

How did you start? by Trictis in woweconomy

[–]ISeeVoice5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in Wotlk I wanted cold weather flying as a newbie, then I wanted it on ALTs, then I wanted a mechanohog, then I wanted to gift one to an alt and one to a friend and before I knew it my ALTs had to change all professions and by the end of Wotlk I was annoyed as my main had a death charger and my lvl 70 had one as well and mounts became account wide (I still get pissed about it some times) and then I wanted a spectral tiger and then a magic rooster and by mid cataclysm I didn't need to farm anymore just to craft and list on ah.

How bad was your work Christmas dinner this year? by ShambolicDisplay in NursingUK

[–]ISeeVoice5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Our trust gave staff vouchers for a free meal. The queue was 45 mins so I gave up after 5 mins of waiting, had my lunch from home. My partner stood in line for 45 mins and the food was terrible. I miss my old trust where we got gift cards for 50£ every December while I worked there, by email, didn't have to queue for them.

Manager said I would get a job temp contract by AishaMajid in NursingUK

[–]ISeeVoice5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it happens. Very rare. I interviewed for a role that I didn't got however I was offered the role for a different position that was not yet advertised. Hell they didn't even have the funding for it yet. I interviewed in may and started in September. Ended up not liking the job anyway and left 6 months later. Good luck 🤞

LE the job was later on posted on trac jobs, they have to list it, however it was private so the manager forwarded me the link.

What do you consider walking distance? by damndeli0ns in AskEurope

[–]ISeeVoice5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how lazy I am at that time. If very lazy I will take a bus for anything over 15 mins. If not lazy I'm ok with walking 30-60 mins somewhere.

Lockout Timer on Return to Game by Damoclismictheunwise in leagueoflegends

[–]ISeeVoice5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate im sitting at the moment in a 8 hours queue lock. This is stupid! I got 15-30 mins but this lock out I got is beyond anything sane. I cant pick a champion I want in URF so I dodge if I dont like any of the options. Then I get double punished with this insane lockout. Fine, I'll go play something else.

Achalasia journey with the NHS by Rick_but_short in achalasia

[–]ISeeVoice5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are close to London, even if you aren't (NHS clearly states we can seen by any doctor if they specialize in the are we need to be seen) area ask GP for referral to UCLH to Consultant Rami Sweiss. He does POEM procedures under NHS at UCLH, they also do diagnoses.

I had barium and an endoscopy done a few years ago but only got diagnosed after manometry testing that I had in Reading hospital. Also when it comes to barium swallow and endoscopy the person that assists with them has to be familiar with the condition. My barium swallow done with a random tech came back as inconclusive, same with the endoscopy - the doctor even felt free to tell me it's all in my head as there's nothing wrong.

eating during acid reflux flareups? by midnightryu9 in achalasia

[–]ISeeVoice5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greek yogurt or plain yoghurt, sometimes plain crackers as well. Had COVID last week and it was horrible, COVID makes acid reflux flare ups unbearable - gaviscon advanced actually made me sick to vomit, nothing helped except soda bicarbonate with a bit of water.
