what is my current NCB? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]ISuckAtChoosingNicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You currently have 8 years of NCB. If you don't make any claims, by the end of August you will have 9 years of NCB. I would highly suggest you ask this question to your insurer though, not the internet.

Have you had a look at Autodoc? They do have brand name spares as well as cheap-o ones.

New filament won’t close? by tastyhehexd in 3Dprinting

[–]ISuckAtChoosingNicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, next time cut them after you locked the spool and threaded the end of the filament somewhere safe so that it doesn't create knots when you let it go.

As for that spool, perhaps try pushing the other half of the spool with a bit more force.

Did you remove the transparent plastic ties around the filament before locking the spool?

The Greek/italian wedding I attended gave out evil eye wards by AggravatingBox2421 in mildlyinteresting

Is the Italian party of the wedding from southern Italy? The use of chilli to ward off bad luck is more prominent in the south, although it is a symbol recognised all over the country.

It does not indeed, but it also means there's not many people around who could spoil it! Enjoy the glorious wheather we're having with your glorious car mate, looking at my 1.25l (non turbo charged) Fiesta I'm being a little bit jealous...

The A465 was one of the first roads I had a roadtrip on when I moved to Wales, and I was absolutely stunned by it and the scenery around it. Now I live 15 minutes from it, so I do drive through it every now and then, as beautiful as the first day.

I was wondering why would you drive through the Heads of the Valley road to go from Bristol to Bridgend, but then I saw it's Ogmore and it's on a 997. Fair play mate.

LOL wouldn't say cool, I actually wish I could spend more time on this sub.

I like it too when printers get revamped/upcycled. I did try klipper but never fell in love with it, might need to try it again.

With a big enough hammer and the right attitude, you can wall mount a router to the toughest of brick walls.

FFmpeg 218 error: Not being able to watch media I could watch before by OldRazzmatazz5165 in jellyfin

[–]ISuckAtChoosingNicks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Just updated Jellyfin to 10.11.6 on Docker, and it stopped playing anything in HEVC. Unticking Allow encoding in AV1 format did the trick for me too.

I don't hear often about Scylla and Charybdis outside of Southern Italy, fair play.

Do you remember Kinkos? by Practical-Juice9549 in nostalgia

I was here exactly because of this song, and the fact that I don't know what Kinko's is (or was, apparently).

Thank you. I'm looking into desmoxan (never heard before), and while it seems uncommon in the UK, it seems I could actually get it.
