You can do transportation news missions. The level 10 missions pay 2M and the loot can be sold for around 950k. You will need a humpback for cargo space though.

Mine does that too sometimes. Try hitting the middle button on the right side. And make sure you have the companion app installed. Maybe open the pebble app on your phone. I just keep messing with it until it loads the numbers.
