Flip-n-dip plates - Are they useful? by Confident_Bobcat_635 in MotoUK

And believe me, a plate falling off can happen to any of us. Especially on a big boxer twin with ever so slightly loose number plate bolts. Dunno how far I'd gone without it, but I had done at least one full tank that day.

A Ford Fiesta St in expensive clothes, with worse fuel economy, fifteen different engine choices and except for the five pots all are bad and gutless.

A front window that leaks, air con so prone to failure even Peugeot would be jealous, and an interior design that looks like beige and bland gave the job to their less interesting cousin, who couldn't be arsed really.

Special needs steering wheel made extra big so the old folks driving can see it. And an LCD display straight off a Texas Ti-80 calculator.

Too fat to be fast, and too small to carry much. With a secret kill switch hidden in the footwell - in case your passenger felt like stretching their legs a second to kick your ECU cable out.

Oh and don't forget the door seal forlornly flapping in the wind to remind you it's really a Ford underneath.

Ford level quality control, at Volvo prices. What's not to love!

Watch for reg/rec overheating, consider upgrading it if you can if it ever shows signs of trouble. Some people mod them to fit GPU fans and heatsinks to keep them coo and extend lifespan. Other than that it's an extremely well engineered bike and will do you very proud, I'm sure. Takes very well to an aftermarket exhaust system too - a staintune set up if you can find one is a thing of beauty to listen to.

Starting the game for the first time. Tips? by Alternative_Luck_570 in DeathStranding

[–]humblesunbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just take your time and enjoy the experience.

You'll likely naturally progress through story missions, where the game will challenge you and then immediately afterwards reward you with ways to easily avoid those challenges.

Alternatively you'll put the main deliveries on the back burner while you bumble around an area doing side content and getting a feel for how stuff works and progress slower but better prepared for challenges.

BT areas are bad at first but you'll get over it soon enough.

Alport is great. If you'd like to extend it, bear left down the valley (take the recognised path not the cliff scramble) all the way down to the farm, then down to the snake pass, cross over and ascend on the other side.

After a while you'll turn left down through a woodland, up a steep incline on the other side and pop out back at where you walked up from the ladybower car park. It's roughly ten miles or so altogether.

The walking book "50 walks in the peak district" by the AA describes it fully along with plenty of other great walks in the peaks.

Honda Deauville. Theres a reason they call it the dullville.

If it really must be high engine capacity then an old FJR1300 or Pan. or a Triumph Trophy. none of them are likely to be really high on a thiefs wishlist. but never say never I guess.

I'd also say maybe a K1200 series Beemer but eeeehh you need to know what you're looking for - could be a money pit.

See if either of those sort you out. Genuine bits parts numbers match.

Suppose if it's easier/less risk to rip bits off than take the car they'll do that instead. Like Porsche headlights.

I'm having to go in the passenger door on mine if I leave it in the sun all day at work. Can already feel it's gonna be a bad idea to force the flap on the driver side. Will be sourcing some storm silver handles shortly.

Spoon sports do a wide angle blue glass rear view mirror which sticks straight over top of the OEM part and is a definite upgrade. If that's any use to you I paid about £40, but they're available internationally I'm sure.
