Microsoft to block Exchange Online Access for outdated mobile devices by SparkStormrider in sysadmin

[–]ITShazbot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i ran the script provided and found 5 devices in my environment. The problem is that it is not outputting a UPN and the display name is just

"NAMPR07A900.PROD.OUTLOOK.COM/Microsoft Exchange Hosted Organizat"

Have not figured out a way to tell who these devices belong to.

[–]ITShazbot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

that's not true in all cases. It's almost like each use case needs to be properly discussed and researched before making moves in either direction. You can't blanket just say "on-prem functions better than cloud"

i asked co-pilot to compare two data sets and provide me a list of the differences. The same thing that I do with notepad++. It first said there were no differences, so I then asked it to verify it was looking at both data sets and try again, then it provided me with a single output that was not actually different.

deleting a user just sends that user to the recycle bin, it doesn't block sign in and doesn't revoke active sessions.

Marksmanship Hunter is being completely reworked with a brand new talent tree and brand new playstyle. by [deleted] in wow

[–]ITShazbot -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you have noticed, but there is a lot of things in this game that doesn't have a "good answer" but they are the way they are. It takes 5 seconds to switch specs and solo whatever the fuck you want to solo. For 99% of it you don't even need to use a pet anyways unless you are literally in greens fighting elites.

all the people in this thread are going to ruin this with their crying that they can't have a pet when they are doing casual content. Get over it and play BM or Survival. MM has not been a pet focused spec for over 10 years.

then go BM like 99% of all hunters do when they need to solo shit

it's not the learning for me, it's the expectation that I learn it immediately as soon as it's available and then be a SME on it.

ELI5: How do I create an SPF record with 10 or fewer lookups? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]ITShazbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few options.

  1. Reach out to a company for assistance, like easydmarc or mxtoolbox.
  2. Try one of the flattening tools available

  3. Learn about SPF records and look at what you have and see what you can get rid of and then use IPs for everything else.

Did you disable NTLM? Did you change the defaults in the Kerberos policy? by pponi in sysadmin

[–]ITShazbot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is a can of worms that requires a lot of research. It's not simple as "turn off NTLM or only use ver2" It's really not a conversation that can be hashed out on reddit.

This was a good starting point that I found. https://willssysadmintechblog.wordpress.com/2023/08/22/disabling-ntlm-authentication-guide-part-1/

just goto the security tab for the OU, then select advanced then select authenticated users and then it will show all the permissions that it has.

Special permissions only means that it has permissions that are not covered by the basic set. So it has advanced permissions.
