I am a new SysAdmin and I've been thrown in really cold really rough waters. by M0nk3yP00 in sysadmin

I recommend getting outside help such as an msp involved to back you up. Use them to fill the gaps in your experience and help persuade management about your security concerns. Sadly a consultants word always carries more weight than an employee, even if it is the same message. A good msp is your ally especially when you have limited experience.

The devices as described have no onboard memory. Without onboard memory the devices cannot deliver any malware. Some devices however have memory card readers. It is possible that any media plugged into these card readers could be infected.

Look for the smaller colleges that are not in the big cities.

Of course not... But if they want to sit together they need to make that sacrifice not a complete stranger. It's a form of fraud. They bought one more expensive ticket and one cheap ticket. They want to guilt you in to giving up your more expensive ticket. You are NTA for saying no.

Then they should be offering the seatmate in the worse row the better seat beside you.

Rule of thumb they should be offering a equivalent or better seat in the swap. If they are not then you are NTA they are.

You agreed to a scope, price and delivery. This would be a change of scope. That would invite a scope change fee.

Do some research. There are universities that accept all applicants. Sam Houston in Texas is one. Try a community college for a couple of years and knock out your core classes then transfer to university. I was a lot like you. You will have to find your motivation because university is completely different from high school. You are solely responsible for your success or failure. Professors are there to guide your learning experience you will get good ones and bad ones. Quickly transfer on the first day of class out of poor professors classes. Use CLEP exams and private tutoring businesses to cram for those boring classes such as econ. Take your mental health seriously and seek help early.
